Historia
Scrooge has compelling reasons for hating Christmas, for rejecting his fiancée and his precious nephew, and for employing Tiny Tim’s father, despite his obvious incompetence. He is a doting uncle, beloved brother, successful businessman, and passionate lover, but a dark secret puts both him and his loved ones at risk. Scrooge struggles to embrace his true self and live in defiance of the Victorian era’s repressive moral standards.

Good book and I enjoyed it

STORY -- 3.5 STARS
PERFORMANCE -- 5 STARS
OVERALL -- 4.5 STARS
It was a good book and I enjoyed it. The performance was amazing and brought the characters to life. I love the thought of getting to know Scrooge before and after the ghosts a little more. There were times that it dragged on, but overall, it was a well-written story with great character and plot development. However, there were a couple of times when I had to nudge myself to keep listening. It was a brilliant start and at the end, it sort of fell off. It needed more to really push it over the top and give us the Scrooge who truly was Scrooge. The end felt a little muddled to me. That said, it is still a good story and one I recommend.

Historia
When the Queen's guardsman enters my inn, the last thing I expect is to be propositioned. But this far north, it can get lonely at times, and my bed fits two easily enough. The guardsman is lithe and fae, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested. Besides, what's one night between grown men? I don't expect to see him again. But rumors of war bring him back to me, and what starts as a one-off soon blossoms into so much more ...

Interesting and good
Revisado: 10-08-24
This was an interesting listen. Not bad, but interesting. Let me explain...
STORY: 4 STARS
I actually fluctuated between 3.5 and 4 stars on this. First, it took me a little while to get into it, but when I did, I was invested. It was a good story, but I also feel like there was something lacking. I wanted to know more. We only get the one perspective. And there are some things that I felt could be expanded upon. For example the knight, the black cloud, etc. I really wish we would have gotten the knight's perspective. I think it would have added a lot to the story and the development. That said, it was still good and still entertained me. I just wish there was more to it.
NARRATION: 4 STARS
In the beginning, I wasn't sure if I liked this narrator or not, but the more I listened, the more I found I really enjoyed his take on this book. He added to it and enhanced it.
OVERALL: 4 STARS
The book is good, but I think we could have gotten more. The narration was done well and contributed to the story. 4 stars overall and I suggest all of you consider getting this one today.

Great story
Revisado: 08-12-24
Witty, charming, at times you want to ring someone's neck...but a great story. I did get the audiobook and will be reviewing that as well.
STORY: 4 Stars
I loved Rafferty and Stan, but seriously, there were several moments when I wanted to knock their heads together. My sister laughed at me when I yelled at my kindle a few times and thought I was talking to a friend. But alas, I was not. I was yelling at these two best friends who are hopelessly in love with each other and won't admit it to each other. LOL. As you can tell, the characters are great and bring out a reaction in you that is over the top. The story was good too, but the characters are what really got to me.
NARRATION: 5 Stars
I absolutely love Joel Leslie. He has a way of given a unique voice to each character, and this story was no different. He takes the story to the next level and brings the characters to life.
OVERALL: 4.5 Stars
The story was good, and I loved turning page after page. When I got the audiobook, it was even better because the characters are over the top and even more loveable. Overall 4.5 stars.

Moving to London is scary and daunting, but I desperately need this job–and a redo. Okay, so I may have oversold my qualifications. That shouldn’t be a big deal, though. I mean, being an assistant’s assistant seems easy enough, and I’m a fast learner. Hold up! I’m already in over my head with spreadsheets, new pronunciations, and temperamental appliances.

Revisado: 04-01-24
Wonderful story and narration. A must read or listen to for anyone!
STORY: 5 Stars
I absolutely loved this story. Poor Raine. I just wanted to pull him into a hug. LOL. It is almost a comedy of errors, but it works for this couple. There is an attraction between them, but they fight it every step of the way. The characters are wonderful and the story flows. It was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 5 stars.
NARRATION: 5 stars
Joel Leslie has once again brought a story to life. I love the way he was able to make each character an individual that stands out.
OVERALL: 5 stars
This is a wonderful story with amazing characters who are quirky and funny and their story was utterly fascinating. I really think everyone should add this to their list 5 stars.

4.5 stars and a brilliant story
Revisado: 03-28-24
I'm going to preface my review by saying, when got this book, I did not pay attention and therefore did not realize that this is a book 3. LOL. I quickly downloaded book 1&2 and read them. I did initially start the audio book without reading the first two, and while it might be possible, to fully immerse yourself in this world and to understand the small intricacies, you really do need to start from the beginning. I loved all three books, so you will definitely want to pick this one up for yourself.
STORY: 4.5 stars
Magic, mayhem, bad omens...this series has it all, and this book is probably the best out of all of them. It continues the story of Blue and Levi, but it is so much more. There is a killer, action, love, things that will twist you completely around, and it all leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat from the first sentence to the last. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were a couple of times that I felt the story dragging, but it quickly picked up and pulled me in once again. The characters and world building are remarkable, and I fell in love with them all. You need to read this one for yourself. The whole series.
NARRATION: 4.5 stars
All of you know how much I love Joel Leslie, and while he did a brilliant job bringing this book to life, I felt like it wasn't his best. There were a couple of times when I struggled to figure out who was speaking. However, those times were very few and very far between. It didn't distract too much and he does a remarkable job of giving personality and breathing air into the characters.
OVERALL: 4.5 stars
Wonderful book, amazing series, and great narration. You can't go wrong with this one, and I highly recommend everyone pick it up immediately whether it be audiobook or ebook/paperback.

Historia
Pip Simmonds is the twinkiest twink in London. He’s loud, proud, and packed to the brim with sass. But when he’s laid low by illness, even his hotpants lose their sparkle and his worried boss sends him to the South of France to recuperate in his holiday home. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is beautiful, and the periwinkle-blue villa is luxurious, but the real draw for Pip is the villa’s other resident—his boss’s younger brother, Olivier Durand.

Brilliant narration and story
Revisado: 03-07-24
When I chose to review this book, the first reason was the narrator. I absolutely love Joel Leslie as a narrator. The second reason is that I have yet to read or listen to a Lily Morton book I didn't like. I have to say, this one might be one of the best ones yet. Let's get into it. As usual, I will review the story and the narration separately.
STORY - 5 STARS
I don't know where to begin. From sweet and charming to steaming and then emotional...I felt like I was being pulled in all different directions but in a good way. Pip and Olivier don't have an easy road ahead of them, not that they initially want one beyond what is casual, and yet, they fit together like two jagged puzzle pieces. But wait, there's more. If you think this is going to be sweet and romantic, it's not. Lily Morton weaves the tale to give you epic highs and lows and throw in just the right amount of drama. The characters have a lot to learn and need to grow a lot. Will they? Can they? I have to say, there were a couple of times when I was on edge and felt like it was being drawn out too much, but there is a reason, and I loved every minute of this book.
NARRATION - 5 STARS
Joel Leslie has a way of bringing characters to life. He can do the accents, make the characters individuals, and somehow everyone sounds different. So many voices from one person. He did it once agan with French Fancy. I felt like Pip, Olivier, and everyone was right there with me, acting out the book in front of me.
OVERALL - 5 STARS
I loved this book and the narration just enhanced it even more. I highly recommend downloading this book today! 5 stars!

WOW! This is one you need to have
Revisado: 05-07-22
Hang on because this one is not a slow, sweet romance. It will take you on a wild ride, and I'm still trying to recover.
STORY: 5 stars
Holy crap!! Mind trip. Emotional. Gets under you skin. Relevant Law takes everything you have been experiencing in this series by Janice Jarrell and turns it on its head. You go deeper, darker, and have to search for the light at the end of the tunnel. It's there, but you have to keep turning the pages...and trust me, you want to. Josh and Colin's story is far from over, and this book is mind blowing! It's a must read. I don't want to say too much and give everything away, but be prepared for suspense and emotion on the high end of the scale.
NARRATION: 5 STARS
Walker Williams once again delivers a great performance and brings this story to life, making it jump out of your speakers and off the the pages. I absolutely loved this one, and as emotional and everything that this one is, Walker did a great job with it all.
OVERALL: 5 STARS
This one is a great addition to this powerful series. It is a must read/must listen. 5 stars and I suggest you one click today!

And he approached law school the same way he approached everything in life, with cocky confidence fizzing through his veins like ginger ale. He had it all. He had the looks, the brains, the experience, the know-how and he also had the love of his life at his side. He couldn’t be defeated.

Great book to listen to.
Revisado: 04-25-21
Love's Lawyer is beautifully written and the perfect addition to this series.
STORY: 4.5 STARS
Love's Lawyer is the first book in the Fearless Heart series, but it is also the next book in the continuing saga of Josh and Colin. And it is probably my new favorite story in this series. Well-written with amazing main characters as well as a great supporting cast, the book will pull you in and hold your attention until the last page. It has the right amount of angst, emotion, romance...a combination I've come to expect from Janice Jarrell. The characters become real, and you don't want to let them go. On top of that all is the interactions, dialogue, and the heat. Whew! Did I mention they are steamy together?
NARRATION: 5 STARS
Walker Williams has once again brought the continuing story of Josh and Colin to life. He gives each character their own voice, and the flow is spot on. I love listening to him.
OVERALL: 5 STARS
Rounding up to 5 stars. The story is amazing and the narration adds to it. Josh and Colin didn't have the best start, but they have gone through trials and tribulations, and they have always overcome, standing beside each other. Love's Lawyer brings new challenges into their lives, and as usual, they don't cope well. They learn to adapt though. I loved this story and couldn't stop listening until I reached the end. I'm already wanting the next book in the series. 5 stars and I highly recommend you pick it up yourself. One-click today!

Revisado: 12-27-20
Shot in the Dark by Rily Long combines vampires, rockers, MM, and gay for you all into one and creates an entertaining story that I enjoyed listening to.
STORY: 4 STARS
This was a good story that pulled you in almost immediately. A bet was made, a plan plotted, and in a year everything would be fine. Even if the person Eli, a vampire, is supposed to make fall in love with him without using tricks is completely straight. Charlie figures this is a way to get the inside scoop on a famous rocker. But so much more happens. The emotion and story meld together with steam. The story is well-written and entertaining, although I do wish a few things were expanded upon, it didn't distract from the overall story.
NARRATION: 4.5 STARS
Andrew Morrison does a good job acting the story out, bring the characters to life. Each character has their own personality and Andrew brings all of those nuances out in his narration.
OVERALL: 4.5 STARS
Overall, I'm giving this audiobook 4.5 stars and highly recommend you either read the book or listen to the story. It's well-written and a good read. There are a few things I wish I had more of, but nothing that took too much away from the story. One-click today.

Full of Sunshine and love
Revisado: 11-16-20
Colette Davison has written another beautiful story and picked a narrator who has brought it to life.
STORY: 5 STARS
A Boy Made of Sunshine is lighthearted, fun, full of love and understanding, and has the right amount of humor and emotion. It's lighthearted and will give you the warm fuzzies...like you are full of sunshine. Well-written with a flow that will pull you in, demanding that you turn to the next page. And when you are done, you are not ready for it to end. I loved Liam and Felix. Their personalities were as different as night and day...for the most part, but they belonged together and brought out the very best in each other. Their story, with the growing pains, emotions, and personalties comes through brilliantly in this book.
NARRATION: 4.5 STARS
Dan Calley did a great job of bringing both Liam and Felix alive. He was able to highlight their nuances, and his voice flowed with the words he spoke. My only issue was, there were times I wish there was more of a distinction between the two voices. But I barely noticed that.
OVERALL: 4.5 STARS
Great story, wonderful narration, and a must-read or listen to. I highly recommend this book and overall give it 4.5 stars.
