Amazing and comprehensive. How shall we then think. Great continuation of the thought of Francis Schaefer.

It was extremely comprehensive, informative, interesting, and just a stellar work of literature. It is quite shocking to realize how much politics is involved in scientific discovery and consensus

While not exhaustive or comprehensive, Mr Kaplan's perspective in analyzing the great man from a literary perspective brings body and detail to many aspects of Lincoln's life. I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the Lincoln corpus.

If you’ve never explored Lincoln from an abolitionist viewpoint you must read Fred Kaplan's treatment. I found he explored the political terrain leading up to the Civil War in a very even handed manner revealing the motivating engine relentlessly driving the nation on to inevitable war. A very even handed treatment of Lincoln, neither vilifying or defying but rather honoring our president by seeing him as he was. We must see history in this way to understand that we too are blinded captives to our own times, and in seeing this to attain a closer approximation to truth and justice. I have never read a Lincoln book that did a better job of drawing me into the thoughts and motivations of the participants on the stage of pre civil war history. Take the time to read this book. You will understand your own times in a new light.

This book needed to be written! It is profoundly compelling, and written from the heart. I pray that it will reach the hearts of those who hold the health and lives of our children in their hands. Thank you and may God bless you J B Handley.

While not exhaustive, Ronald White manages a detailed account of A. Lincoln's great life, with special attention to his speeches and letters which reveal so much of the man and his thoughts. A great read. You feel as though you know him a little better.

This book far exceeded my expectations, and was full of surprises in every chapter. The story telling rivals Dickens and Dumas, and the fact that it is autobiographical makes it even more thrilling. Every Christian should read this book and I believe even non Christians will find its contents a compelling account of an amazing life, filled with countless adventures, triumphs, and betrayals. The narration by Dan Kassis is flawless with perfect accents and emotional portrayal. I have read many books in my sixty years of life but I must confess this is one of the best reads I have ever experienced. I feel that it has breathed new life into my soul. Relish it and be transformed.

Great Historical and cultural analysis of where we are and how we got there. Also gives solutions on how to respond to our present Sodom and Gomorrah like culture. As relevant today as when it was first written.

This elegant and fascinating history beautifully imerses the reader in Jacobean England, as it introduces the reader to many of the Translators and persons involved in creating the Bible known as the Authorized Version. A must read for all who love the English language and its heritage.

Neil Postman does that which is so incredibly difficult to do. He steps back and analyzes our culture from the outside. This is must reading for anyone interested in delving into the root of our educational and societal malaise. At the same time it is a fascinating and enjoyable read/listen.
