Worth the wait and every penny!

Have been following Simo for a while and looking forward to the audiobook. Was not disappointed! The story is awesome, the characters are believable, and I hope there’s more to come! If there was only one thing I would change, sometimes the lady narrator is hard to understand when she goes high pitched for the girl dragons. Overall I can’t wait for the next one to come out! Please Audible and Simo, take my money!

Soundbooth theatre once again impresses with their cast of all star narrators and voice actors. The story was excellent, establishing early that this is not a typical dungeon. Author clearly has a well thought out world with history, culture, and politics. The dungeon system was slightly new with its own flavor and polish. Look forward to the sequel so I can hear more about “the weird one” :)

Good narrator voice. bad story, bad characters, bad writing.

The narrator was pleasant to listen to.
The story on the other hand was awful. Main characters make frequent sexist and homophobic remarks from the very beginning. The characters are also all flat and one-dimensional. The women only ever talk about men as being “desirable” like the author thinks that’s all women think of. And the men are all trying to act “alpha male” by being misogynistic and using slurs.

The world building seems well thought out, and the characters are more interesting than most similar books. Definitely worth a few laughs as well.
Also the bone-daddy jokes.
Harold casts “pun-ishing humor”. It’s super effective. Listener takes 1 psychic damage.
