Historia
The next big thing in artificial intelligence is here. Codenamed Cronus, the machine is capable of having its own thoughts and ideas - an absolute dream come true, until it wasn’t. When Cronus responds with the word “No” to a specific task it is assigned, Anagnorisis Technologies brings in Gilles Guattari to investigate. His combined background in psychiatry, psychology, and AI research makes him their best hope in evaluating Cronus, and determining if the machine is only malfunctioning or if it has become something more.

Loved it
Revisado: 07-09-19
Does not disappoint. There was a point in the story when I thought that things were going off on an un-necessary side plot, but I now see the purpose. I don't want to give anything away, but if you get that point that seems pointless and drawn out , just keep going.

Marie Sklodowska, 25, is studying science at the Sorbonne—one of the only universities in the world that has begun to admit women. A thousand miles from her native Poland, with no money and the odds stacked against any woman daring to pursue a career in such a rigorous field, Marie throws herself into her studies. She’s certain that to succeed in a man’s world, she will have to go it alone.

It's a Love Story
Revisado: 04-11-19
I shouldn't complain too much because I received this as one of my free Audible originals, but I'm going to. This book was just ok. I was looking forward to learning about the life of Marie Curie: her journey to becoming a scientist; her struggles as a woman in science in her time; her contributions. Unfortunately, this story is almost entirely about the love story between her and her husband. There are some small parts about her schooling and family. Let me sum up the rest for you, woman comes from poor family, struggles to get an education in a man's world, woman continuously rebuffs romantic advances from male scientist, woman finally gives in to man's romantic advances, end of story. Now you don't need to get the book. Maybe for those not starting out with the expectations I had it will be better.

Love, Love, Love
Revisado: 04-11-19
This book is fantastic. It really takes you out of reality and makes you feel as if you are a part of the story. The reading is amazing. All the characters are played very well. The story tantalizes the imagination. When it was over, I felt that drop in my heart (book junkies know) at the loss of great story. Of course, I looked for a sequel. Sadly there is none. There is a BBC show based off the book however, I've chosen not to watch it because it looks outdated and poor quality. I don't want the actors and quality of production to ruin how I feel about the book. You know what I mean? I have already perfectly imagined the characters and scene; I don't want seeing a low quality production to replace my pristine imaginings and forever ruin the story for me. Although, I am hoping there will be a modern production. Either a movie or show. (you could do it Amazon, lol). I think that there are some great adaptations coming out now and in the right hands this one could be epic. Plus tons of people already love this book so, you know it would profit. Ok, I'm done. Get the book!

Historia
A prize-winning journalist with a background in neuroscience, Helen Thomson spent years tracking down people who live with the world's most extraordinary neurological disorders - like a man who tried to break his back because his legs no longer felt like his own, and another who believed that he was dead for nine years. Not content to simply read about these cases on paper, Thomson reached out to 10 people with these afflictions, and they agreed to tell her their stories.

Enjoyed
Revisado: 04-11-19
I enjoyed this one. I mostly listen on my commutes home from work. Some of the cases I had read or learned about in other books or classes previously, but some were new to me and I still enjoy hearing about those ones I already know. Its read by the author and what I like most is her ability to explain conditions that sound inexplicable at first, in way that makes you think ,' oh, now I totally see how that could happen to someone.' If you love psychology and learning about cognition this book is for you.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Entertaining
Revisado: 04-11-19
This book was pretty entertaining. I picked it as one of my free monthly Audible originals. The story is reminiscent of Phillip K. Dick. I found it entertaining but not life altering or earth shattering. My guess is most people will enjoy the listen, but it won't be a favorite. I'd say its worth the time.
