Great read!
Revisado: 01-20-25
This one was really good! It pulled me in from beginning to end and really had me engaged and held my attention the entire time. This one was really interesting with the murders and trying to find the connection and what was happening. There was also the mysterious animal that was evident at the second crime scene. The story was well done and I loved seeing Cole and Maddie work together and watching Maddie and Robo work even better together. They have really built up their partnership throughout the series and I loved watching them work together to track both the murder scenes for evidence, killers and the large animal. I loved getting to see more of Maddie and Cole and watching them build their relationship and starting to take it into the next step and more seriously. They also work so good together on the cases as they deal with everything that pops up and the trust they have built between each other. This mystery and connection this time was very well done and interesting as tried to follow the case the case and the pieces to connect the murders and why.
The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters and the story to life with the different voices for all the characters and the action and emotion being showcased through the voice. Very well done and really enjoyable.

Another great story in the series!
Revisado: 01-19-25
This one was another great one! We get to see Maddie and Robo in action again and working with Cole as well. Cole is up on the Ridge with his daughters to show them some big horn sheep as they are working on getting a count for some to be moved when one of their dogs brings back a charred human leg. Maddie and Robo are called in to search for the rest of the body and find it in a shallow grave. They are then looking for more evidence when a shot is taken and kills a ram. While they want to figure out where the shot was taken, that has to happen another day and they go back to the body. This is not a normal case either, as it quickly becomes clear that she has a close personal connection to the body. Then when they go to investigate where the shot was taken they see some suspicious pieces of earth that has settled funny, like a body could have been buried there and when it is checked they find the bodies of 2 adults and a child. With her connection to the most recent body they are digging into Maddie's past to try and find the connection and the question starts to arise if Maddie could become a target as well. This one was really well done. Cole definitely takes a bit more of a role in this one as he helps with the investigation and Maddie and Cole become closer. This story was well written and flowed well. It was mysterious and a little tense with everything going on and them trying to figure out who murdered the 3 adults and 1 child and what the connection is to Maddie. This one had quite a few twists as well with the connections that get thrown out and the danger that happens. I loved getting to know more about Maddie and watching her dealing with and learning more about her past. I'm very excited for the next one in the series!
The narrator did a great job with this one and bringing it to life. You could hear the emotion and the action being showcased in the voice, which really added to the story.

Revisado: 01-19-25
This one was really good! It pulled me in from beginning to end and really held my attention the entire time. It pretty much starts off with a bang pretty quick with Maddie and Robo go looking for a missing junior high student and fairly quickly find her body. She ends up heading to the Walker home to break the bad news and check in with them. She has pulled away a little bit to work on some issues from her past that just recently got brought up after getting in touch with her brother again. It has put her in a dark place as she is trying to deal with it so she has pulled away and Cole isn't entirely sure what to do about that. As Maddie is trying to figure out who killed the girl, there are certain things that are hitting close to home for her and raising suspicion for who and why the girl was killed. Then Cole's younger daughter is taken and it is very personal as they are doing everything they can to find her before she is killed. It is personal for Maddie and Robo and they are doing whatever they can and following any and all tips that come in to try and find her, hoping that Robo will catch her scent and be able to find her. Maddie takes a chance on a phone tip for something in the forest and she bets on Robo and he is able to catch her scent and find her. But what they find, turn the case on its head and it is a rush to find the kidnapper before it is too late. This story was well done and well built. I really enjoyed it and was engaged the entire time. Definitely felt the intensity on this one with Cole's daughter missing and the new information that Maddie is dealing with from her past. I loved watching Cole and Maddie grow their relationship and connection even more in this one and watching them support each other. It is definitely a slow burn but I love the way it is building. I can't wait for what is coming next.
The narrator did a great job with all the characters and bringing the story to life with the emotions in the voice and showcasing the action as well.

Historia
The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to forget what happened that night so I could move on with my life. An impossible feat, considering the demons of the past refuse to let me go. Jumping head-first into the unknown seems like a good place to start. So I move out of my childhood home and away from the pain lurking around every corner. It would have been a great start if not for my new next-door neighbor, who slightly resembles a Yeti. His attitude does little to convince me he’s not.

Absolutely loved this one!
Revisado: 01-19-25
I absolutely loved this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and had me engaged from the first few paragraphs of the story! Alicia has been through a horrific/terrible experience and was raped years ago and is still dealing with the aftermath. She is trying to move forward but her demons have her in their grip hard and she still has nightmares. She wants to move on and so has made the decision to move out of her parents/family home and into her own place and finally convinced her family to let her do it. The book starts with her moving in. Mark is her next door neighbor and he is a firefighter and a grump. Alicia and Mark do not exactly get off on the best first foot as he is coming off a long shift and trying to get some sleep when the fire alarm goes off in Alicia's place and he breaks down her door in order to put out the fire before the fire department shows up. Mark wants to help people though he doesn't like to let people in either. He shows back up to help fix her door and he can see that there is something more going on with Alicia based off of the way she reacts and interacts with him and the others that he sees. Mark continually shows up to help rescue Alicia as things continue to go wrong in her house and it forces a little more interaction between them than they otherwise would have gone for. Mark gives Alicia a feeling of safety, which is something she has not had around a man/someone since the night she was raped. I love watching Mark and Alicia get to know each other and build a relationship and Alicia being able to feel things she hadn't felt since before that night. It allows her to move forward and become stronger. I loved Ghost, Mark's dog as well and the role he plays in the story. This story was really well written and while it could be triggering for some readers I thought all sensitive topics were handled and dealt with really well. This one deals with the demons but also the healing. I truly loved both Mark and Alicia and will definitely be coming back to New Hope. This was my first book in the series that I've read, though it is the third book in the series and I was able to read it just fine, I will definitely be reading the previous books in the series and the ones after. This was just very well written and really engaging and I can't wait for more of these characters!
The narrators did a phenomenal job with the characters, emotion and action in the story to really bring it to life. You could tell who was talking by the differences in the narrators voices and they really showcased the emotion and acted out the story in their voice, it wasn't just read. I loved it!

I really enjoyed this one! We get to know Mattie, Robo and Cole more as well as Brody. I really enjoyed getting to see Mattie and Brody trusting each other more and building a good working relationship. Brody's girlfriend has gone missing in this one and they call Mattie and Robo back from training in order to try and find her but by the time they do, she's been killed and body hidden in the mountains. A tip is called in and Mattie and Robo are the ones that track and find the body. Brody hikes down for forensics team and Mattie and Robo stay behind to guard the gravesite and they end up tangling with a cougar and thankfully Cole volunteers to bring supplies up to Mattie that night and stay with her so she isn't by itself without supplies with the snowstorm coming in. It works out as Cole can take care of Robo's wound and it allows Mattie and Cole to build more of a foundation and relationship together. They continue to get to know each other and build a deeper bond and trusting, working partnership. This one was definitely well done with the mystery and intrigue and some twists and turns as they try and figure out where Adrienne was on her last day and who/why she was killed. I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters better and watching the different relationships develop more and how much better Mattie and Robo are becoming at working together. I am very excited for the next books in the series!
The narrator did a fantastic job with the characters and having different voices for all of them as well as acting out the action and emotion happening in the story. Very well done!

Three months later, working for the Cages is my last resort. Now I’ll work beside him day by day, trying not to let my feelings take control. It’s heaven and hell. Revisado: 01-08-25
I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I loved getting to know the Cage's better and seeing more of their antics as they are a large family and have just had a major twist thrown at them with figuring out that they have 5 more siblings, 4 sisters and another brother. Aston is trying to hold things together and figure it out and so he has pulled back from Blakely a few months ago after their dance and kiss. Things were looking really good for both of them and then he got the call about his dad and then learned the news about the separate families and terms of the will so he doesn't call. Things take a turn for Blakely as well when her horrible boss finds a way to fire her over dancing with Aston, he's supposed rival, and then blackballs her out of being hired by someone else. Last resort she ends up with a job interview with the Cage's, one of Aston's brothers being her boss. It is doubly complicated as her best friend Isabel is one of the new Cage sisters. With the close proximity and being around each other again, it is hard for both of them to avoid and deny the connection that they have and so things start again. I enjoyed watching these two get to know each other amidst everything going on and thought that they handled their complicated connections very well. I really liked Blakely and Aston together. They balance each other out well. This story flowed well and had plenty going on though there wasn't really a big bad villain/terror in this one. It is more dealing with what life has thrown at them and finding a way forward together. I enjoyed getting to know both factions of the Cage's and can't wait for the next one!

Great read and start to the series!
Revisado: 01-08-25
I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and was very well done. It was a great start to a new series. Mattie has been paired with K-9 Robo and they are newly partnered together and trained. Mattie is building a great bond and relationship with Robo and they are coming to trust and rely on each other. Mattie is learning to read Robo better and better and learning to trust him and his instincts, which is making them a stronger team. Mattie and Robo finds the body of a young teenage girl outside of Timber Creek and they are assigned to the case and working with the detective. Mattie ends up connected with Cole Walker, the local vet, when she takes the dog that was with the body to him and learns about his daughter's connection to the deceased. It ends up with the two in closer proximity as they work to find the truth and who killed the young girl before more bodies turn up. Mattie and Robo seem to be ruffling enough feathers that they start to become a target. This was really well done with the twists and turns and getting to know all of these characters. There is a connection between Cole and Mattie though nothing really happens between them, just getting to know each other and the possibility of it. This story is pretty much all about the mystery and case though there is a little bit of romance though in this one it is mostly possibility. The mystery of who did it and why was well done and I loved the addition of Robo and his part in solving the case. I'm excited to see what is coming next as I really fell in love with both Mattie and Robo and am hoping to see something build between her and Cole as well. I was engaged the entire time and can't wait to start the next one.
The narrator did a great job with all the characters and different voices and really bringing the story to life. The characters sounded different and you could tell who was talking. She did a fantastic job with the action and really showcasing it in her voice and making it real and acting it out. Very well done!

Short and hot
Revisado: 01-07-25
This story was hot and entertaining. Things happen pretty quickly and it is a short one but was pretty entertaining. Luke overhears a conversation that Gracie is having with her best friend about some of her fantasies and what she really wants and it turns him on. It gives Luke the push and perspective that he needs to ask Gracie out and start setting something up to fulfill her fantasies as well as getting her to open up to him and start to build a relationship. The story is hot and it has a little bit of kink with some control, tying up, and m/f/m. The story was entertaining and hot and great if you aren't looking for something deep but something quick and hot.
The narrator did a good job with the story.

Revisado: 01-04-25
This one was entertaining and enjoyable. Whitney is matched to Alarr, Oran and Teig of Viken and is transported to them where they are working, security at a pleasure resort. They are undercover trying to find who is moving stolen coalition weapons and they were not expecting to be matched to a bride and be bringing her in while on this mission and of course IC doesn't give them a choice. They are told not to tell her and to take advantage of the additional coverage and access. They are building a pretty good relationship with Whitney but are having to separate so one is watching the weapons/hold at times which does cause some questions after Whitney talks to the Queen and some information is shared. Whitney has some trust issues due to her father and brother and what they did on Earth and what how they used her. She has to deal with that and figure out how to let her mates in. This one definitely has the twist as Whitney has a major issue with the lies that were told since she didn't know what was going on and that her mates were undercover. They have to figure out how to overcome it and show Whitney that they understand and weren't using her the same way. This was entertaining and enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this one! We are back to Rogue 5 and Ivy is tracking down a bounty in order to get revenge/justice for her team that was killed after taking a bad dose of quell. She was the lone survivor and just badly. She has been discharged from the coalition and so has come up with a trade and deal with the Astra legion in order to get onto Rogue 5 and find her man. She ends up with a short one night stand with a hot man while waiting for her contact to shortly find out that her one night stand is the contact, things definitely take a turn as both were drawn to each other but are focused on different goals at the time. Ivy to get her man bounty and Zenos to find and get his hands on the antidote to the venom that runs through his hybrid body. He realizes pretty quickly that Ivy is his mate but he can't bite her without risking her life. He doesn't trust in the antidote yet and it causes some problems for sure. He also has to realize how capable Ivy is. I loved watching Zenos show her their way of life as they tracked down her bounty and she understood and fit with their way of life and moral code. This story was full of action and intrigue and sexy times as well. I really enjoyed this one and loved getting more of Rogue 5.
