I currently listen to books instead of reading them. Three little children and an adorable husband demand a lot of my time.
With that being said, I enjoyed the length of the l this book. Some might feel it's too long, and that's fine. But I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK! I want to know if the 2nd (technically 3rd) book is in the works?!
By the end, I'm like hanging on a cliff by my fingertips. I want to know what happens next!

Wonderfully Surprised

I didn't know what to expect with listening to a new author, but I want disappointed. Overall, it's a story about overcoming the odds, building new friendships, and fighting for the good.
Performance was believable. The narrator did a great job of giving each character a unique voice so you could tell who was talking.
Characters are believable and have depth. Looking forward to the next book.

Good Storyline - Got lost in narration at times.

I like to listen to books while I clean or do stuff around the house. This collection had a good story line and was perfect for me. I like the narrator I just wish she would have kept the characters "thought" voices the same as when their speaking. There were times I needed to go back and listen again because I wasn't sure who was talking.

I enjoyed the story and the background of this character and her family. I just wish the narrator would have listened to one of the Spellmonger books prior to reading. It always throws me when they mention characters or places and pronounce it differently.
