Enjoy when Col. Fitzwilliam has a strong showing.

Pros outweigh the cons of this farfetched storyline. Fun to root for Darcy and the Colonel as they emerge victorious from the evil plans of their family. Love Stevie Zimmerman’s narration which I listened to at .9 speed or else it sounds too rushed.

What a delightful listen thanks to the wonderful narrator! I was surprised that I liked the modern variations,the Beauty and the Beast version in addition to the traditional versions. I really think there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Great sampling of P&P authors whose books I will look for. Many of the stories left me wanting for a longer version because they were very engaging. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A lot of angst and romantic tension that doesn’t lead to consummation. I would have at least appreciated him carrying her over threshold. Ending seemed abrupt. Stevie Zimmerman’s narration is excellent!

Overall it was a solid intro of a circle of friends whose individual stories will be developed over a series of novels The use of a potential love interest set up to contrast the rake wasn’t credible. The narrator and the more erotic scenes kept this story flowing and curious to read another book in the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. I like P&P adaptations that reveal Darcy’s thoughts. The speed of the love story was very quick but we’re supposed to believe D & E are having deep insightful conversations during their long walks. I liked the drama of the murder investigation threatening to separate the protagonists instead of family intrigue. I didn’t figure out who the murderer was until the reveal. There were so many guests. Everyone’s couples live happily ever after especially Elizabeth and Darcy. Which is how I like it! Lots of tender moments sprinkled throughout story. Nothing explicit. Narrator did a great job juggling so many characters.

I was really annoyed by Mr. Bennet and Georgiana’s characters. Mr. Bennet would have written to check on Lizzy. She’s his favorite. Georgiana was a big fat pain and I couldn’t believe how she and Darcy were breaking down her spirit! At least he FINALLY came around. The narrator got this over the finished line for me.
