Historia
The year is 2026. China has taken over as the world's largest economy, while the United States, mired in an oil shortage, struggles to adjust to its diminished role. Then, a surprise attack throws the US into a chaos unseen since Pearl Harbor. As the enemy takes control, the survival of the nation will depend upon the most unlikely forces: the Navy's antiquated Ghost Fleet and a cadre of homegrown terrorists.

Every book can teach you something:
Revisado: 11-28-20
As an aspiring writer I have since sworn myself to the voracious consumption of knowledge through any and all means available. As such, I try and derive at least one lesson from the text I am reading; "Ghost Fleet" taught me the following:
1. Something doesn't necessarily have to be good to be published.
2. Avoid excessive use of the word "said"
3. Authenticity makes art.
Is this book a literary masterpiece? I am not able to say. But it does accomplish the general "Spirit of writing", in that it made me feel something. So give it a listen... maybe not all at once though.

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

Life-changing, but maybe a little dry....
Revisado: 11-28-20
OveralI, think Viktor Frankl's "A man's search for meaning" is a profound introspective, psychological text that I feel many of my fellow Americans would do well to read. I think this is a fantastic stepping stone for anyone's psychological journey and I would recommend this book to anyone who is currently in therapy or struggling with mental illness.
