Superb story but weak narration
Revisado: 06-16-20
I loved this as an ebook so much that I jumped at the chance to enjoy it again in Audible format. Narration was hugely disappointing, however. I expected to hear English with an accent from somewhere on the Sub-Continent. Instead I heard a fairly low energy, generic American accent. I did not finish the Audible book and intend to return it.
I look forward to reading more of Purveen Mistry, Esquire’s adventures in future ebooks.

Historia
A tempestuous acquaintance and disastrous marriage proposal makes it unlikely Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet will ever reconcile. Despairing of their own reunion, they attend with great energy to salvaging that of Darcy’s friend Mr. Bingley and Elizabeth’s sister Jane. People are rarely so easily maneuvered in and out of love, however, they follow a series of misunderstandings, both willful and unwitting, that complicates all four star-crossed lovers’ alliances more than ever before.

Superior PP fanfic
Revisado: 04-26-20
The storyline is strong and the author carried the convoluted plot twists successfully to throughout the entire tale. Unlike weaker fanfics that often become boring in the last 25% of the story, this one holds the readers interest with well drawn characters and superb setting. No historical blunders or errors in customs mar this story.
The narrator of the audible version gives an impeccable performance of all characters, rendering the authors intent in feeling and personality of each individual.
I highly recommend the story and audible performance to any Fan of Austen “variations”.

Historia
Father of cyberpunk William Gibson’s original script for Alien III, written in 1987 as a sequel to Aliens, never made it to our screens, although it went on to achieve cult status among fans as the third instalment that might have been after being leaked online. This terrifying, cinematic multicast dramatisation - directed by the multi-award-winning Dirk Maggs - is the chance to experience William Gibson’s untold story and its terrifying, claustrophobic and dark encounters between humans and aliens, as a completely immersive audio experience.

So disappointed I dId not finish it
Revisado: 07-06-19
I love the Alien stories—movies, novels, and audiobooks—and I own copies of most.
In theory this story idea is good—what happened between Aliens and Alien III. But too much of the narration is a boring synopsis of the last hours of Aliens. The remaining story is as flat as the retrospective, As another reviewer said, good thing it was free. The acting falls far below the quality of a single narrator-style presentation.

Wonderful story and performance but...
Revisado: 05-28-18
There were several skips in the narrative-technical issues that detract from enjoyment of performance. Audible should do better job of technical editing.

A comfortable historic romance rendered extraordinary by the incredibly talented performer. From the broad Yorkshire dialect to the drawling upperclass tones of Vincent, from male to female voices -- all were perfectly performed and not read. Highly recommended .

Historia
Do you believe in love at first sight? Sanford Stewart sure doesn't. In fact, he pretty much believes in the exact opposite, thanks to the Homo Jock King. It seems Darren Mayne lives for nothing more than to create chaos in Sandy's perfectly ordered life, just for the hell of it. Sandy despises him, and nothing will ever change his mind. Or so he tells himself.

This one's real too!
Revisado: 01-09-17
TJ Klune delivers another uproariously funny chapter in the lives of best friends, brothers, and lovers in Tucson. Paul and Vince, of Tell Me It's Real, reappear, with several great scenes involving Paul's inimitable family. The current story focuses on Sandy and Darren and the life of a drag queen. Like TMIR, the Drag Queen and the Homo Jock King makes me laugh out loud again and again. But as much as I enjoy the story, it's the superb narration that makes me give the heartiest recommendation to all to try the rare treat of an excellent story supported by a narration so superb that it elevates the entire work to something even better than the story alone.
Congrats to author and narrator, you truly deserve each other!

Historia
Two years of living with his controlling boyfriend left Chico worn down long before that boyfriend revealed he'd been seeing someone else. With no other choice, Chico moves in above his cousin's garage in a small town in the redwoods, where he merely goes through the motions. To get him out of the house, his cousin pushes him to volunteer at a local dance studio to help with their annual show. He's not expecting to end up in a dance class, or to start feeling alive again in the arms of his dance instructor, Rafael.

Charming story but disappointing narrative-DNF!!!
Revisado: 06-11-16
Chico is a charming main character, and the story itself is light, amusing, and entertaining. I have enjoyed many of this author's narrated stories already, so I succumbed to the temptation of immediate purchase without listening to the sample.
This narrator sounds like he is doing voiceover for a rather boring nature show, his voice holds none of the nuances of expression one would expect in a story about humans instead of gerbils. I listened for about 20% of the narration, after all sometimes narrators do improve as they warm to the story. But to no avail, I simply could not finish, this lovely story was rendered boring, and I intend to return to Audible for a refund.
I expect more than someone simply reading a story aloud when I purchase an audible story. I expect a performance, why else would I spend money?
I cannot recommend this audiblized story to anyone. By all means read the ebook, Ms Cooper is a very imaginative storyteller.

Historia
Laurence Dalziel is worn down and washed up, and for him, the BDSM scene is all played out. Six years on from his last relationship, he's pushing 40 and tired of going through the motions of submission. Then he meets Toby Finch. Nineteen years old. Fearless, fierce, and vulnerable. Everything Laurie can't remember being. Toby doesn't know who he wants to be or what he wants to do. But he knows, with all the certainty of youth, that he wants Laurie. He wants him on his knees.

Superb narration for superb story
Revisado: 05-24-16
As much as I enjoy reading Alexis Hall's excellent prose, this time I enjoyed hearing it even more. These narrators brought the characters to life by dramatizing the story, not merely reading Hall's beautifully literate prose.
I highly recommend this production, and know I will listen to it many times.

I love the story of the start of Sharpe's friendship with Patrick Harper, and continuing life in this man's army. Excellent narration by Davidson, who I first encountered in the Jeeves stories.
