Great storytelling and narration.

Very captivating story. The narrator really gets into it. Not drab and boring like many audiobooks. It does get a bit R rated at times but great listen.

Historia
In 2016, the fate of Paramount Global’s entertainment empire hung precariously in the balance. Its founder and head, ninety-three-year-old Sumner M. Redstone, was facing a very public lawsuit brought by a former romantic companion, Manuela Herzer, which placed Sumner’s deteriorating health and questionable judgment under a harsh light.

Better than I thought

I bought this in a whim with fairly low expectation. It was a great book and the narrator was awesome. Really kept my attention. The book has a lot of insider gossipy type stuff but also tells an amazing story of CBS/Viacom and the Redstone empire. Really interesting audiobook.

Historia
We are accustomed to think of sociopaths as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary people, one in 25, has an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in 25 everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a sociopath.

Worth a listen.
Revisado: 01-10-23
If you are interested in learning more about sociopaths, this is a good book to listen to. There are some really good stories about people the author has treated. At times it comes across like a college lecture but for the most part it’s pretty interesting.

Surprisingly unlikeable.
Revisado: 11-15-22
I’m so surprised that that I like Matthew Perry so much less after listening to this. He’s an entitled egoist who hasn’t seemed to learned much from his experience.
His narrations should like he pounded a fifth of booze prior to reading (I don’t actually think he did..just sounds like it).
