The story overall wasn’t too bad. Although I’m not sure why the narrator was so monotone throughout. But I really didn’t like the very end. Good for the main character to look after herself, or so I thought until the last sentence

A Heartfelt and moving story.

Loved this book! It has beautiful message to give, and yet there were moments where I was horrified at the treatment given to the main character and then would realize the message. I listened with an intention and ended up going back to re listen at times. I felt every part of the story had meaning.

Great story, with a surprise I definitely didn’t see coming. Story was well written and flowed nicely. I listened to the whole thing in only 2 sessions. I felt I literally couldn’t stop. In fact I stayed up until 2 am for the first session of listening. The emotions were real and I felt myself cringing or laughing or talking back. I would recommend this book highly.

Loved it!

I really enjoyed this book. It is an easy listening fun ride. There are a couple of moral values thrown in the mix but basically a story that doesn’t take things too seriously. I was a little dubious about Will Wheaton as a narrator but soon became a fan. I would recommend this one to someone that could use a lighthearted break from other serious reads. This was my first Scaizi but will definitely not be my last!

Well Written

A good story about the ability of people to do good and bad. A commentary of what ifs that was a very believable. Well written and good narration. I would recommend to anyone that may be interested in a story that may not have wild car chases or shot outs, but shows how real people would deal in an hopeless situation. Some can find hope and others let their fear rule their actions.

Usually I love Christopher Moore. I laughed hard with both the books A Dirty Job and Secondhand Souls. I have listened to others with the same humour. Just seemed like this one wasn’t quite as funny. Overall an ok story and a good narrator.

I totally enjoyed this audio book. I have only discovered Christopher Moore a little while ago and this is my third book of his. His writing is funny and quirky. Love his characters. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good laugh and an enjoyable story.

The story itself was good. I didn’t know right away who did it, which happens a lot. But! The narration was way too monotone. Even any funny parts were said too seriously. I would have a hard time recommending it as a audio book with this narrator.
