Scott (Iron Ember) asks his sister Willa to locate the Druid book in Edinburgh—where George and Beth are located. Willa does more than locate it, she tries to steal it—of course trouble ensues. George sends two individuals after her, Beth (and her goons) and a con artist named Jasper. Nothing goes as planned. Jasper and his mysterious past are revealed on the Isle of Skye. Willa’s life hangs in the balance, and the only person who can save her was sent after her. 5 stars.

This is book three in the Skye Druids series. Since it is a part of series it should not be read as a stand-alone book. This series is part of the Dark Universe—there are references to them but reading the other books in not necessary but will enrich the world.

I love the Sky Druids and the trip Donna is taking us on. Theo is my favorite character of this series. Some questions are answered… but in typical fashion she left with even more questions. Phenomenal book and author. 5 stars!

I love it when Donna makes interesting characters out of “historically bad” species. Bronwyn is just such a character, she is Skye Drough. What would push a Sky Druid to become Drough? Though she is no princess, only a Knight can save her—Elias. This section of the Dark Universe is coming into focus with this book, I personally can’t wait for Donna to take us on this ride.

Omg. Dark Alpha’s Fury is everything you wanted and needed for the ending of the Reaper series!! If you loved Balladyn’s story…you are going to LOVE Aislings. This is a story I have waited for since DAH, when Xaneth was introduced. Loved it! 5 stars!!!

Dark Gambit the Pawn is book 65 in the Children of the Gods series and is the first in this trilogy. It is the story of Marcel and Sofia.

Well not sure where to start on this book. Ms. Lucas is still turning the story arc to move in a new direction. If you have made it this far in the series then you know that it a HUGE arc. It is still shifting to the Kra'ell as the new bad guys, mainly Igor. Doomers are not much of an issue anymore.

Though I give this book 5 stars, I am not sure I recommend reading it right away. There are questions and nice cliff-hanger that will make you want to beat your head against the wall. I personally suggest reading it closer to when Dark Gambit the Play comes out.

Love the Dark World (now or soon to be Dark Universe)? Then this is a book for you…Skye Druids!! We have seen Skye Druids in the Warrior series… in the Dragon King series… and the Reaper series… now they get a series of their own!! This book was everything you would expect from a Donna Grant book and more.

This was a much anticipated book… and it was totally worth the wait. If you love Balladyn you will be thrilled to see the next chapter in his life. Donna has out done herself with this book!! We have seen (or heard about) Balladyn go from Light General, to Dark Second in Command, King of the Dark and finally a Reaper. Betrayal and heartache the entire way. Yes he totally out of gourd when we first met him, but he found redemption and deserves this HEA.

Our heroine I was hoping she would get a Reaper, when her cousin mated Cathal. So I can’t say I was shipping her with Balladyn but… she is way better for him than Rhi. Her mate needs “magic” in his life and a red-head to keep him hopping. 5 Stars!

Return to Zora... loving the new world

Dragon Eternal is the fourth book in the spin-off series—Dragon Kings. It takes place on Zora, the Dragon home world. Shaw is sent to Stonemore with Merrill to get intel on the city. What he finds is a courtesan of the Divine. To add a nice spin on this, the Divine knows he is coming and sends Nia to him with the promise of freedom.

This is a new story arc and we don’t know where DG is heading yet. Zora is still a new world, there is a villain but who that is yet to show up. The Crone, Divine, the Entity…who is the bad guy and who is the puppet??? Ms Grant plays the long game, and keeps us guessing.

Toven and Mia... part 1

Revisado: 05-21-22

Dark God's Avatar is book 59 in the Children of the Gods series and is the first of the Dark God's trilogy. It is the story of Toven and Mia.

First I am going to say I normally don't mind the secondary plot lines and secondary romances--not in this book. I have been waiting for Toven's story for a long time--after reading Goddess's Choice wishing he would have been away when his brother dropped the bomb. At the end of Dark Memories when find out he is alive, I was like YES! However, the first half of this book is almost all secondary… and I wanted to scream. Once we got to see the couple Ms. Lucas didn't disappoint, everyone has a favorite male in this series--well Toven is a GOD.

Since I can't give half stars, I will give this 4.5 stars in the review and 5 for the algorithm. I was that disappointed in the first half, but the second half was off the charts.
