Historia
Totalitarianism is not a coincidence and does not form in a vacuum. It arises from a collective psychosis that has followed a predictable script throughout history. In The Psychology of Totalitarianism, world-renowned Professor of Clinical Psychology Mattias Desmet deconstructs the societal conditions that allow this collective psychosis to take hold. By looking at our current situation and identifying the phenomenon of “mass formation”—a type of collective hypnosis—he clearly illustrates how close we are to surrendering to totalitarian regimes.

Phenomenal analysis of modern reality!!
Revisado: 09-06-22
This is an exceptional analysis of the current state of affairs, and explanation of how humanity has reached this current susceptibility to totalitarian atrocities.
He also has a spot on exposition on what modern "science" has become, and how determinism/materialism has led to a very restricted worldview for researchers, politicians, and laymen.
Absolutely worth your time and money!

In There Is a God, one of the world's preeminent atheists discloses how his commitment to "follow the argument wherever it leads" led him to a belief in God as Creator. This is a compelling and refreshingly open-minded argument that will forever change the atheism debate.

Historia
In this audiobook, you'll discover why Christians should never try to prove God exists. Doing so will give atheists justification for unbelief, and also demonstrates the Christian disagrees with scripture. You'll also learn the hidden agenda behind the purpose for interrogating Christians. Most importantly, Christians will learn why debating nonbelievers, and trying to reason with atheists will not bring them to Christ.

Very interesting, spot on assessment! Great read!
Revisado: 04-13-22
Great book. Very well written and the voice talent did an excellent job with delivery. While I have a slightly different position on what "election" means, Jon's story of getting engaged in apologetics, having debates via evidentialism, and wanting to destroy weak atheist arguments etc, is extremely similar to my own. His end conclusions about how modern atheists (especially those online - YouTube, FB forums and so on - aren't actually seeking God, or even engaging in conversation out of true desire for the truth, is unfortunately an extremely accurate assessment.
I strongly recommend this book to those who are engaged in apologetics, dealing with dogmatic atheists, or just finding themselves confused by the madness of the world, and the inability for so many to recognize, let alone embrace, the obvious truth that God makes clear to us all.

Historia
The present framing of the cultural debate in terms of materialism versus religion has allowed materialism to go unchallenged as the only rationally viable metaphysics. This book seeks to change this. It uncovers the absurd implications of materialism and then, uniquely, presents a hard-nosed non-materialist metaphysics substantiated by skepticism, hard empirical evidence, and clear logical argumentation.

Utter Destruction of Materialism
Revisado: 09-28-21
A very interesting read and a high level, systematic destruction of the materialistic worldview that is dominating today's Academia. While I personally think his arguments actually result in the necessity of a pre-existing higher power, and ultimately support dualism as the more comprehensive conclusion, this is an excellent WORK, and I truly appreciate the detail and thought provoking arguments that are made.
The reader was also excellent. It felt like I was listening to the author himself with the passion and emphasis felt in his delivery.

I've read over 20 books on this subject, and can say without hesitation this is in my top 3.
This book touches a variety of angles on the topic, and I greatly enjoyed the scientific evidence that was put forth.
Also major appreciation for the reader of the book. He truly captured the essence of the author's intention, and was very easy to listen to.

Historia
What happens to consciousness during the act of dying? The most compelling answers come from people who almost die and later recall events that occurred while lifesaving resuscitation, emergency care, or surgery was performed. These events are now called near-death experiences (NDEs). As medical and surgical skills improve, innovative procedures can bring back patients who have traveled farther on the path to death than at any other time in history. Physicians and healthcare professionals must learn how to appropriately treat patients who report an NDE.

James A. Shapiro's Evolution: A View from the 21st Century proposes an important new paradigm for understanding biological evolution. Shapiro demonstrates why traditional views of evolution are inadequate to explain the latest evidence, and presents a compelling alternative. His information and systems-based approach integrates advances in symbiogenesis, epigenetics, and mobile genetic elements, and points toward an emerging synthesis of physical, information, and biological sciences.

awesome book in which the author challenges the rigid status quo that is modern Biology, using his credentials and credibility to put forth new arguments, and insist on new approaches to understanding biology.

The cells in our bodies consist of molecules, made up of the same carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen atoms found in air and rocks. But molecules, such as water and sugar, are not alive. So how do our cells - assemblies of otherwise "dead" molecules - come to life, and together constitute a living being? In Life’s Ratchet, physicist Peter M. Hoffmann locates the answer to this age-old question at the nanoscale.

Amazing Descriptions + Philosophical Desperation
Revisado: 07-01-21
Very interesting book overall, but the ending is a ridiculous soapbox for strict materialism. That said, details about different proteins/enzymes and their processes were excellent and definitely learned some things and re-confirmed other knowledge.
However, the nylon example for evolution in the context presented has been formerly debunked.
In summary, the book is good overall, however I recommend going into it with the understanding root explanations of origin of function are philosophical rather than scientific.

Historia
The land of Ignorantia...bears striking similarities to the modern West. One of its older faithfuls writes to warn a young missionary who will soon arrive on Ignorantian shores. It is not as advertised. Steeples and cathedrals abound. Platitudinous and syrupy words drip from the lips of the Ignorantian churchmen. They have become convinced they know a book they seldom read, and it is no small Ignorantian tragedy. The letters seem to straddle the border of fiction and reality, but the state of affairs is familiar!

Extremely detailed case for God
Revisado: 04-06-21
an excellent culmination of his previous books, both in using points from them, and in creating a new, formal argument for God. I also love the part of the book where he directly responds to the critics. if you like his previous books you will absolutely love this one. however it also has the capacity to be a standalone which is excellent!
