Historia
Demonic invasions ripple across the land, and Nathan questions if any moral line in the sand is worth the death of his loved ones. His years of preparation to save Doumahr may vanish overnight as he faces an onslaught intended to end everything. Where the goddess Omria failed time and time again over countless millennia to defeat her tormentors, Nathan must succeed. His second chance in life burns in front of his eyes. There won't be a third. Nathan will either defend his home, or he won't have one.

Not bad for a time travel story, the magic is while good has a flaw.
Revisado: 09-14-24
I am a bit of a head case with huge jumps into the past type of stories. In my experience most stories that start with this, are a bit of a mess until, after a major shift and everything has changed to where the MC can no longer use any knowledge of his old time-line to guide him. This story isn't immune to that, but it isn't horrible. it's good enough that I do remember there being weird bits, but good enough that they were minor. Smaller leaps into the past have less oddities.
Firearms losing their effectiveness when it seems like an inscription and some materials from a dungeon for projectiles might be enough to bring them back up to par to fight monsters and such. just something I though was weird, with the rules.
the narrators are amazing, I love these two in anything really.
That twist at the end was quite good. I was a bit floored with that implication. looking forward to where this huge change takes the story.

Historia
My name is Volrath, and I am an Aesir of Asgard. I have no family name to speak of, but then I discovered I could tame, train, and breed the great dragons that are feared throughout Asgard. Now that I have this incredible power, it is my mission to scour the nine realms in search of more dragons to add to my menagerie. I am joined by a beautiful Light Elf and a powerful half-Valkyrie sorceress, and these women want to bind themselves to me and bear my children.

wholesome take on dragons.
Revisado: 07-13-24
This one got me emotional quite a few places. Typically Dragons are depicted as THE apex predator, and/or God's/godlike/devils/demons/whatever. This goes softer, while still incredibly powerful as you'd expect from dragons, they are depicted closer towards pacifists, while not exactly pacifists.
the Narrators were spectacular. two of my favorites.
now my dislikes. a few plot points were dropped or forgotten about. like the elf and valkryie feud. or fenrir showing up.
but overall I'd say this is well worth the read, and then searching for the rest of the series.

personal preferences are why I dislike this. got like 1/3 through it before dropping.
Revisado: 07-12-24
I'm not a huge fan of Isekais in general. mostly because you could take away the world traveling, and the story wouldn't change much, while leaving it, brings in a lot of minor details that I struggle to ignore.
The hot and cold behavior of one of the heroines is aggravating, especially because there is magic pulling them together. Tsundere is a personality I strongly dislike, and while one heroine isn't as bad as some I've read or watched, it's aggravating, and eye roll inducing for me. The MC isn't any better in dealing with her, or setting boundaries. sure she can say no, and he can totally tell her, that if she's going to start only to stop, that she needs to not do anything. It would be great if MC's could actually stand up to a Tsundere and tell them this hot and cold behavior isn't right, and that she needs to "put up or shut up" so to speak. By the time anything happened, I was so annoyed with both, that the act felt forced. yes I really hate tsunderes. Not to mention that she literally tells him nothing useful of the world until something happens, because he blindly does dumb crap, only to scold him when she's at a greater fault for leaving him in the dark.
yes the MC is dumb. why are you going to pick a fight when you have no idea of the rules of the world you now live in? This minor detail is why I dislike Isekais. they know, but still do dumb things, and get pissy when he has no idea about anything. duh, nimrod, keep a low profile, let people run their mouth until you have a better understanding.
Magic pulls people together, is up there with mind control, that annoys me. if done subtly enough, it can work, but this just feels wrong to me. the "romantic" relationships feel shallow and cheap. Then you got one that engages, just to blue ball the guy repeatedly, so where does this magic pulls them together come in? Some characters make it seem real significant, but the way it's executed feels like it isn't really.
I'm giving the narrators a higher value than I ought to, because this is my first exposure to them, and I'm not entirely sure if it's the story or them, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.
like I said, this is more of my personal tastes. there's plenty of people who like this type, but if you're like me, with similar tastes, then this might be a waste of your time.

Historia
Sebastian Frost’s most recent memory was waking up in a field naked, in a body that wasn’t his own, in a world that definitely wasn’t his own, and three stunning pointy-eared women staring right at him. He also remembered hair as white as starlight, eyes like amethysts, and the name Shalia. Fortunately, it was the right name to know. Shalia was the elves’ goddess, and that made him her herald.

MC is hot and cold, it's a bit off putting in a few places. he'll make a declaration and then backpedal, and act like a wuss when confronted on it. the narrators were pretty good. ans overall the story was good. if you can get past the hot and cold mc.

the out of place events.
Revisado: 05-14-24
towards the end of chapter 12 it skips way into the story, talking about a character that isn't introduced until later in the story.
there is one more place where the story repeats itself, but I forgot which chapter, I want to say after chapter 15.

The local wolffolk mafia longs for their glory days, and their alluring don, Alessia Lionetti, wants a powerful enforcer to bring them back. That's Vince. This is his big break from his days as a hired thug. Working for the mafia has a short life expectancy, though. Especially in a world where the masquerade shattered long ago. Demons run banks, birdfolk ferry people across town, and the police possess crack teams of sorcerers to keep the peace. Bad news for Vince and his dreams of mafia wealth.

Nina is my favorite. A lot of stuff happened in what 3 days? So much happened in that time. I've been looking for an author with good writing ability after catching up on all of Bruce Sentar's stuff. Well good to me at least, so I was sitting on this in my wish list for several weeks, wondering if I'd drop it, or finish it, or look for more works by this author. I'll be looking into more of his works.
The Narrator did good, haven't run into her until now. Maybe not my favorite but she's good.

Historia
Arden was left in the village by a dying mage, who never returned. With no way out of the village on his own, he had always held onto the hope that one day his magic would awaken and give him access to his spheres. But he’s about to turn eighteen and it’s never come. Instead, he’s settled into his lot as a sarcastic and quick-witted innkeeper. That all changes one night when his old flame, who escaped the village to become a mage’s anchor, returns. Ard’s life is about to go through some dramatic changes, and he’s not ready for them.

the narrator for the MC made me think of Ryan Reynolds Deadpool. I don't know if you could have found a better pick for him, he did a great job. Jessica is another favorite of mine.

Historia
Dead or Alive? Not a hard question, and pretty easy to figure out either way. Usually. Except I've somehow woken up in a place called Hell, and I'm not entirely sure I died first. I thought it was a practical joke. Until a warrior woman tried to kill me, and I rescued an elf and a succubus from slavers. Turns out, this Hell is being terrorized by an evil king, and he’s hell-bent on bringing all of Hell under his dominion. He also happens to control the portal back to our world, which I very much want to use.

my biggest gripe would be that the MC came off as a bit of a whiner, and a doormat throughout the first half, towards the very end he was less so. but there were times he was bad enough that I had to take a time out from this.
I liked the narrators, they really cinched the deal for me to finish, Melanie did great, she real brings the charm to the characters. I forgot the guys name, but he did well enough.
