Loved listening to a story about Hamilton’s wife.

The authors were clear at the beginning that they used the facts they could get then drew their own conclusions on what the rest of the story was. It is a very interesting story and informs women about an historic figure that must surely have influenced her husband. At the end, the authors go into more detail about facts and why they drew certain conclusions. Eliza Hamilton was a strong woman and also played a part in the early development of our country.

Bravery and Determination Win the Day

The determination of the men and a few women give great inspiration and admiration for what they were fighting for. Against all odds they achieve success.

The main character is kind and likable. However, as in real life, he does not always know what to do or who to trust. The twists and turns of the story will keep you from wanting to stop listening.

Makes you think

I found this last book to be the hardest in many ways. It posed some difficult questions for the reader to consider as I wondered what choices I would have made. I kept wondering who to trust. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I think the ending was handled quite well. It felt bittersweet to have this tale end.

This book follows the sisters and midwives and tells you what happens with many of the women as the years go by. It is nice to know the details and of course there are many laugh out loud parts.

Intriguing

I did not want to stop listening. I loved the way it was read by two readers to separate the main characters. The after story information was very interesting and answered some questions I had. This was a very different experience of course, than her children’s books. Worth the time.

Helped Me Better Understand Transgender

I enjoyed this story and found it so engrossing it was hard to stop listening and go to bed. The two main characters are read by different people which makes it very nice. The minor theme of “be yourself” for the person who is not transgender was very interesting. It mirrored the transgender theme. Many of us have been raised in an environment of considering other people’s opinions above the true desires of ourself. So both themes were very important. Well written with good information.

I really liked this prequel to Anne of Green Gables. I found it quite believable. I liked getting to know Marilla and Matthew in their younger years. It explains a lot. I thought the ending was very good.

Many twists and turns

I have enjoyed each book in this series. Sometimes I have actually skipped the closing book in some series as it had bad reviews and I wanted to leave the series loving the characters. Have no fears, this book will wrap it up with the characters remaining true to themselves. There are shocks and disappointments but in the end you will understand why it had to be. The reader does such an excellent job you forget there is not a live cast reading this. The story is captivating at every turn and the characters are so real you wish you could go visit them. It will definitely be a series I will listen to again in the future.
