Historia
Elaine and Iona have graduated from the School of Sorcery and Spellcraft and are out to try and find her old immortal mentor, Night. Travel isn't easy. Different cultures have different ideas of travelers. Plagues and Pekari stalk the Eventide Eclipse. And Night has never been the easiest to find, even when they knew where he was. If he's even still alive. 23,456 years is a long time, even for an Immortal as focused on surviving as Night is. Their travels take them to Exterreri, where the ruling vampires have clouded the skies, blotting out the sun to protect against their greatest weakness.

Historia
In the distant past, a time of magic and swordplay, there lived Harold, the mightiest lich of all, a master of arcane sciences, and a challenger of gods. After reaching the pinnacle of his power and finding it surprisingly bland, Harold waged a cataclysmic war against the gods, aiming to shatter the very system that confined him.

It wasn't the day the Gates appeared that changed Jynn's life; she'd only ever known an Earth where hordes of interdimensional monsters terrorized humanity. No, Jynn's life changed forever when she graduated from high school and tested positive as a Hunter: a breed of enhanced humans evolved to challenge the monsters who are ushering in Earth's apocalypse. The only problem is . . . she has the very lowest stats possible.

Really? Let's make women the heroes they are.
Revisado: 10-28-23
Look, I appreciate drama. This is dramatic. I like the story. I like the characters. I love that I just tried to write strong female characters and my auto correct decided I wrote he-man. That really says more than I could personally... Why would we have a strong female? That is so wonderfully wrong and ashamedly expected. Great job predicative algorithm. You have understood me not at all.

Historia
The elves took everything. Following a bloodied slaughter of her whole race, and struggling to stay alive, she had no choice but to survive on her own. That was until the world changed. Her entire planet; a whole cluster was introduced to the vast universe by The System, or perhaps God. A universe filled with endless beings and civilizations that fought for power and dominance. After the integration, Blair finds herself in a forest surrounded by unknown beasts, peril lurking, alone. Alone and with nothing but the mentality to survive, she will have to get stronger in this unforgiving world.

Revisado: 10-27-23
I think this is a good story. I like the world and characters. I think there are occasions where too many descriptive words are used and it causes some disassociation. It doesn't make the story less entertaining but it does disrupt the flow.

Morgan Mackenzie had a very bad day. First at work, then at home, and then her bathtub fell through a portal to another world, with her in it. Now she's stuck thousands of miles from any sort of civilization with nothing but the bathtub and a lace puffball scrubby. But she learned magic, so that's sorta nice. Now if only she could find some clothes....

Historia
After surviving a harsh winter, Eli finds himself in a unique situation when a long-lost dungeon is discovered on the property. It could be the perfect proving ground for the students who have earned their Class, but it could also become their tomb. It also doesn't help that the town of Last Stop is in danger. The Edgelands are creeping in and gobbling up entire cities overnight. With nowhere else to take the children, it's up to Eli to come up with a solution to both problems that only a Master Enchanter could accomplish. With the love of a few good women by his side, anything is possible.

Adorable
Revisado: 09-11-23
I rate a lot of books by character depth development and the world they reside in. I don't need a fantasy to read a good story but I do appreciate the difference between our worlds. I do need to relate in some way to the characters. I enjoyed this story. I think it's worth your time. If anyone cares the following is the introspection that I received after reading this story.
Time and distance from our childhood makes us jaded and forgetful. I think this is a wonderful reminder that at some point we all just wanted to marry a grasshopper and have people that adore us.
Take a moment every day to remember what is truly important to you. We get stuck in the SYSTEM that we call life. It is expectation and duty. Yet deep inside we are all still that child that burns with the desire to be loved and to love. Don't let the super ego, that is subjective to societal pressure, overwhelm the ego. The ID is the child we lost. It is pure in its love. It is pure in its hate. It is unconstrained by the SYSTEM(read society). It is innocent. Yet it is the most harshly judged and changed to blend in better with the super ego (the us that is society approved AKA the system). This is a fallacy. The ID does not hate a race, a nationalisation, a color, a gender, a sexual preference, a political party, or a religion etc.. It hates only an obstruction to its ideal.
One's self is the combination of the ID and the super ego. It is the balance that Freud called the ego. This I believe is true but fails to truly conceive of the variance that is the ego. Many are taught to control our base nature, to better fit with our society, yet we see that it cannot truly be suppressed in every single action we take. What we love or hate takes on a different hue. It becomes what society says we should love or hate. Our super ego is directed and focused and pressured to the point that our true ID is consumed and a false ego is represented.
The children know. They hate the meany that took their toy. They love the friend that played their game. There is no lingering animosity. The same meany can become friends in seconds. What matters to them is fleeting and chaotic and beautiful. We change them to better fit with our society. However, the future is theirs it's not ours.
What is precious and pure and everything to a child is only a rock with an etching to us. The greatest treasure was only a passing novelty. Yet for someone it was enough to alter the ego. It was a symbol of self. It was ID. It became EGO. Will you let it be lost? Will society's influence on the super ego change us so much that we let our ID die? I mourn the loss of the child I was, of the adult I could have been.

Historia
Having somehow convinced Lady Annika Jenoure to marry him, all Finlay Ashowan wants to do is settle down, cook some good meals, and enjoy a quiet life in Daxaria. But fate has different plans. Fin’s father, Aidan Helmer, fire witch and servant of King Matthias of Troivack, has arrived in the kingdom with devastating news: Annika’s brother Charles has been taken prisoner, and the only way his life will be spared is if Annika or Fin goes to plead his case. Given that an attack from Troivack is imminent, there’s no way some trickery isn’t involved in this plot.

Revisado: 08-11-23
I almost bypassed this series. I am glad I did not. I adore the protagonist's mind. If one were to rate her abilities from a pure combat perspective, the rating would be rather low. However she is OP in other ways. She is sociable but also clever and cautious. I am glad to read and listen to a story about a character I can actually somewhat relate to. Thanks for a great story thus far. I anticipate the next in the series.

Revisado: 08-09-23
This book read great till about 3/4 through. Then it backtracked. I'm not openly opposed as it may progress the story but it's still annoying to see lateral character growth in a volume. Oh there is allusion to progression but we all know that's as unsatisfactory as a wet dream and as annoying as a wet fart. Good job. I'll pick up the next book. However, it will not be priority. I will not follow the author in anticipation.
