Started strong but jumped the rails at the end

Started strong and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. As the ending came near, this list all plausibility and made my eyes roll a few times. Oh, and one male narrator reminded me of an English-dubbed foreign film.

This is my second book by the author and I enjoyed this immensely. Good character development that left me rooting for each one! The audio performers did an excellent job too. My one and only peeve was the over-use of the word “scoff” in this book. It could have been a drinking game.

For me, this started out strong with interesting characters and a good story line. About midway through, the plot started to drag. The ending was predictable but rushed. I was glad to finally reach the end of this book.

Nice story if you can ignore Rachel’s voice

I have never reviewed a book before but today is the day. The story was good but the narrator for Rachel made it very difficult to see this through. The narrator might easily have been a computer or fabricated through AI as her monotone drone was almost comical. Not sorry I chose this but will look more closely at the narrators in the future.
