I’ve read all of the King/Simmons books & several Shadow books. This book had so much heart, not just steamy romps, but real heart. I cried & laughed.
I loved Hurricane Anna & how she made Gabriel better. This was well worth the credit!

I usually don’t like versions where D or E has previously married. There were a couple of sad chapters, but the story is so touching!
Darcy, true to form, is kind of a jerk until he decides Elizabeth is worth fighting for.
Some wonderful new characters. Bonus: No Wickham!

I have listened to this book at least 20 times. It is one of my all time favorites. I appreciate how the characters grow over time to better versions of themselves - except Wickham. Once a villain always a villain!
The Dowager Countess is a riot! So great an add, that I found & listened to the Prequel.
Narration was ok. A little too monotone - Lizzie was too flat. All in all a great choice!

I’m not a big fan of angst, but fortunately it doesn’t last long. I love versions where the Hunsford proposal is averted & Darcy gets to improve at his own impetus. It seems to soften Lizzy so she is not as quick tempered. Love Mr & Mrs Bennett’s story.

I loved these stories. I am a low angst, happily ever after where the villains get their just desserts, FAN.
I generally don’t like Georgianna being a brat, but it doesn’t last too long. I also like forgoing the drama with Lydia and Jane/Bingley. The focus of all 3 stories is D&E. Love, love, love it when Darcy punches Collins out cold! I listen to this one often!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this book! Every time I notice something new, because there is so much detail poured into “Faire”.
I love the strong women, especially Anne de Berg’s character. The Fae people create a interesting element and keep the story moving. Also, gotta love Darcy & his angst!

Strong Lizzie worms her way into hard headed Darcy’s heart. Great dialogue sprinkled with a healthy dose of humor. There are a couple of steamy scenes that made my heart race. One of the BEST modern variations!
