Didn’t Finish

Couldn’t finish it. I normally like stories by this author but the main character was insufferable. Woe is me, barely has friends, her whole personality is around her relationship. Get a life, figure out who you are and stop trying to make your husband your everything. No wonder you’re always fighting, you’re suffocating him. She can’t see anything past her own insecurities and what she thinks a relationship is supposed to be.

My least favorite

This was my least favorite book of all of Hilderbrands. The story was way over the top and at times implausible. All the characters, especially the main character were too needy, insecure and dramatic. The ending was a complete disappointment and unbelievable.

It was okay

Love listening to Elin Hildeebrand novels but this was one was not my favorite by far. Narrator was okay. Main character was whiny and hard to sympathize with. Almost quit it in the middle but hate not finishing books I started. Ending left lot of questions unanswered.

A lot of nothing but whiny

The main character is soooo whiney. I mean I get that she lost her sister and she's still dealing with that but her character is too much. She's never happy. She always wants to be some place else. The book goes on for way too long considering that nothing really happens. The other sister is bratty and only thinks about herself. The author makes it really difficult to relate to her, despite her tragedies. Essentially the book is a whole lot of whiney and complaining. Save yourself the trouble.
