This one is gold.
Mc is the best. Acts like a normal person. Not a whiner.
Like the characters, world building and the way magic works.
Book is 10% adult and 90% story.
I will get the next book.

Just going to say. Be aware of what you getting. This book is 50% adult and 50% story. I haven't ran into a book this adult heavy since Succubus Lord by Eric Vall. I prefer 20% adult and 80% story.
That being said. Its rough. I like the world, some of the characters and the way the magic works. The Mc is the best the situations allow. Also the dude is not a whiner. Its a good take on how some one being thrown into a weird situation would act and react.
Charlie and Rose are pretty good. Im going to look for more books with either of them.

I will get the follow up books.

I have a few books by this author.
Book is 15% adult and 85 % story. Its a good ratio. Adult should add flavor to the story, Not overpower.
Performers are excellent.
Mc is well made. Didn't care for the whole being in his sixties thing. But that is not a deal breaker.
World building was cool. Liked the way the author handled magic.
If there is another book. Ill pre order.

Book was good. I normally don't go for the whole stuck in a video game trope. SAO being the only exception.
This is pretty good tho.
Liked the mc. Dude is down to earth and not a whiner.
World building is a little shallow. It is the first book.
The plot leans toward a slice of life.
Performance was excellent. Dude is not in my top five for voice actors, but it was pretty good.

This one was pretty good. Waiting on the next book.
The mc. Not a whiner. Had some issues, worked on them through out the whole story.
World building. They went into magic a little. Just enough to keep it interesting.
Adult / story ratio was on point. Just enough to add to the story.

Performance was good.

Lots of angst

Really couldn't get past certain parts of the story. The whole hurry up and wait was infuriating. Especially with the circumstances. (Read the book)
Mc decisions are goofy. Tell one Valkyrie that she's the only one. Half a chapter later in bed with another. I'm aware of the genre writing style. Still not a good excuse for bad writing.
I did get the second book. It was better than the first. Probably going to stop there though.

A little heavy on the adult.

I know the author. Got a few of his books. Try Esoterica, and Bullets blades babes. They are credit worthy. I enjoy the lit rpg with harem sprinkled on top. This was a little much. The book is about 50% adult and 50% story. A good ratio is 20 adult and 80 story. There was one point where the mc goes thru 3 chapters of adult in a row. It takes away from the story progression and the world building.
The mc character build is weak. Dude is a Chad.

I did like the performance. These two are good together.
Aurora does a book for Cebelius. Sex death and money. Read his Celestine chronicles. you'll be grateful.
Jonathan does the Prism series for David Burk. I got the whole series. They are a good read.

Been a while since a have done a comment. This one is worthy. Kind of bummed the second is not out yet.
MC is not a whiner. Good plot great world building.
Like the magic part of the story. Ambient magic is a finite resource. Not inherent to the land. It is derived from the spirit/world and linked to the body via the soul. It in itself is endless. Its a great concept. The closet I have come to like is He who fights with monsters.

I have a few Of ME Thorne's books. This one is by far the best of the lot.
Mc is not a whiner or an idiot. The characters are well done. The best part is the world building. While its not my favorite, I like the world created.
Will definitely get the next books.

Its good but has a few moments of wtf.

The mc will spontaneously go off on a tangent. It will last 15 min. He will talk in circles and literally say the same thing in three to four different ways on why he has to do something. This is the only thing that gets me.
The rest of the story is awesome. The story, world building character dev. Its all good.
