Really well performed! Loved all of the narrators. Loved the story, too. I did t realize right away how invested I was in the characters, but you do get really attached to them.

Excellent!
Revisado: 03-01-22
I read the books years ago and have been wanting to listen to the audio books, but I couldn’t get past the poor quality of the ones recorded in the 90’s. So glad Rosamund Pike read this one, and am desperately hoping she reads the rest! She did such an incredible job!
Love this series of books. If you’re into fantasy at all, give these books a try!

Revisado: 10-07-21
Once again Liane Moriarty has knocked it out of the park. I intended to listen to this slowly, so I could savor it, but I gobbled it up like a greedy little pig because it was so compelling. Caroline Lee is a fabulous narrator. It feels like I’ve been waiting for forever for another Liane Moriarty book, but it was definitely worth the wait!

Historia
Cole Balek is a liar. Okay, not really. He just makes you think he’s sawing someone in half or that he’s trapped in a trunk. All Cole wants is to continue the love of magic that he and his late father shared by becoming the best tween magician in the Las Vegas area. But when Cole and his mother get a mysterious note from a rare book collector, he’s forced to search among his father’s belongings for A Lesson in Magick, an old book of spells connected to an ancient group of magickers. What he finds instead are a series of coded clues his dad left for him.

Historia
“Before I can begin my tale, you need to know about the king's panties.” So begins the epic adventure of 14-year-old Nigel, digger of latrines, shoveler of poop, and the single greatest threat to all the humans, elves, and halflings of Esteria. Nigel needs to escape from military school. Who can blame him? After all, the king just declared war on the gorks, and he's pretty sure his latrine-digging skills aren't going to be much good on the front lines.

This was such a fun story! The narrator did an incredible job. You could differentiate between the characters just by his voice. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it, and was sad when it ended. If you’re a fan of Tolkien, I think you’ll really enjoy this tale.

So much fun!
Revisado: 06-20-20
This book is fantastic! The story is so much fun, and the main character is so well written. If you’re looking for something fun to listen to, this book is for you. No spoilers, but the world in the book is very similar to the world in The Boys, only in a more fun, less dark sort of way.
The narrator Bahni Turpin is my new favorite narrator. She’s incredible! Sometimes women don’t do well with men’s voices, but she nails it! You can tell all the different characters just by her speaking. I cannot give her enough praise!
Loved the book, and loved the narrator.

Revisado: 03-06-20
Absolutely loved it! Every time I listen to one of her books I think, “This one is my favorite!” Then I listen to the next one and think the same thing.
The story was as excellent as usual. Liane Moriarty has an incredible skill in capturing human emotion and people in general. I love that none of her characters is flat. She does a great job of fleshing the characters out and makes them feel like real people.
The narrator did a fantastic job. Her voices were well done. She did a good job of making it easy to distinguish between the different characters.
My only problem with the book is that it wasn’t long enough and I finished it in no time! It was such a good story.
