Historia
Never in my 40 years did I think my new normal would be gluing body parts back onto ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue and a strong stomach. Never thought I’d date the Grim Reaper and that I would be the one to blow it. I mean, how idiotic does one have to be to get dumped by a dude who lives in Hell? Going about business as usual is not usual in any way. No one is who they seem to be...and to be honest, neither am I. What I’d known to be true has turned out to be myth. The angels are frightening, and the demons are hot.

Laugh out loud
Revisado: 08-03-22
Although the story is amusing, it’s the narrator who made it come alive. Her sense of humor and phrasings made me laugh at unexpected moments. I can’t imagine being as entertained if I had read the book myself. I’m really glad this audio exists!!

Historia
Who could forget the sexy "Cherry Pie" girl from hair metal band Warrant's infamous music video? Bobbie Brown became a bona fide vixen for her playful role as the object of lead singer Jani Lane's desires. With her windblown peroxide mane, seductive scarlet lips, and flirtatious curves, she epitomized every man's fantasy. But the wide-eyed Louisiana beauty queen's own dreams of making it big in Los Angeles were about to be derailed by her rock-and-roll lifestyle.

Loved it!!
Revisado: 09-05-21
This was an excellent listen! Being a hair band lover I enjoyed the inside scoop on the rocker lifestyle. But this book was more than that. It’s a coming of age, smart and sometimes funny story of love-both self love and love of others. I was pleased to hear that there was more to Bobbie than just her looks. I recommend it highly!

Historia
At MI5 headquarters Regent's Park, First Desk Claude Whelan is learning the rule (cover your arse) the hard way. Tasked with protecting a beleaguered prime minister, he's facing attack from all directions himself. Over at Slough House, the MI5 satellite office for outcast and demoted spies, the agents are struggling with personal problems: repressed grief, various addictions, retail paralysis, and the nagging suspicion that their newest colleague is a psychopath. Plus someone is trying to kill Roddy Ho.

Excellent series!
Revisado: 03-23-21
As a fan of British whodunnits this has become one of my favorite series! I order the next as soon as I finish one! The authors quick wit is the perfect foil for the Narrators’ dry delivery and I find myself barking out a laugh at unexpected times. This is deep, slightly dark, and interwoven with great characters ( who are never guaranteed to survive). I highly recommend!

Historia
In a small Southern town where loyalty to family and to "your people" carries the weight of a sacred oath, defying those unspoken rules can be a deadly proposition. After 15 years of growing up in the Ozark hills with his widowed mother, high-school freshman Boady Sanden is beyond ready to move on. He dreams of glass towers and cityscapes, driven by his desire to be anywhere other than Jessup, Missouri. The new kid at St. Ignatius High School, if he isn't being pushed around, he is being completely ignored.

Masterful
Revisado: 07-16-20
This book reminded me so much of one of my favorites, “To Kill a Mockingbird”. The slow but steady pacing felt so right me, having been a young person in the 70’s. Small town life, simpler times, yet hitting all the right notes of angst as a teenager. I enjoyed this books content which was brought to life by the performer. A perfect combination. And very relevant to these times, unfortunately. I highly recommend!

Historia
Even having hundreds of closed cases to his credit can't keep LAPD police lieutenant Milo Sturgis from agonizing over the crimes that don't get solved - and the victims who go without justice. Victims like Katherine Hennepin, a young woman strangled and stabbed in her home. A single suspect with a solid alibi leads to a dead end - one even Alex Delaware's expert insight can't explain. The only thing to do is move on to the next murder case - because there's always a next one.

Excellent!
Revisado: 06-30-20
I’m a long time Kellerman fan having read all the books up to this one. Times change and I’ve discovered that audio books fit my life better. This might be my favorite so far, mostly due to John Rubinstein’s vocal performance. His voice for Lt Sturgis is spot-on to the one in my head for the last 20 years! Looking forward to the next one!
