This was good! Story wise i really liked this i was looking for a forbidden romance and this checked that box though it wasn’t as forbidden and secret as i would’ve liked.

Performance wise this was solid. Neither actor did the other’s voice very well but that’s a minor inconvenience

Slow Beginning

So this is a slow burn and thus it was hard for me to get into the beginning of the book. However once we got past the 25% percent mark i was crazily invested in these two!!!

The narrators did a wonderful job with these characters

Messy Second Book

The nature of a trilogy means that the second book will mostly be filler and that was the case here up until the last two chapters. I was left feeling very confused my Kirill’s motivations for anything that happened in this story. Yes he wants to be on top but why? And what does he have to do to get there because right now it feels like nothing?? I don’t know i was very underwhelmed by Kirill after this book.

Performance wise the two voice actors did a wonderful job at keeping me engaged and allowing me to follow along with the story. I still wish the Sasha voice actor would’ve changed her voice to be a bit deeper when she speaks dialogue.

Fun shifter romance

So I knew very little about this going in, but I was pleasantly surprised by all that occurred. Our heroine Millie is a down on her luck 25 year old who’s life gets turned around when she discovers her terminal cancer has returned. Iain our hero is her boss who is secretly in love with her. What ensues is a very quick read that I genuinely enjoyed listening too!

Samantha Brentmoor is a fantastic audiobook narrator and while I can’t attest to the accuracy of her Scottish accent because I’m not Scottish it sound real to me and was really great to listen too!

Overall this is a light steamy paranormal romance with two lovable leads

Duet Style

I’m so glad this was told in duet style because i was able to follow the story better. However I wish the Sasha narrator had masked her voice a bit more when speaking dialogue to make it authentic to the story

My absolute favorite

Twisted Love is my favorite Ana Huang book and this narration takes it to a whole new level. The narrators really brought the story to life and were able to grab the true essence of the characters! Very glad i got the audiobook so i could listen whenever I want!!

Marisa Calin

I listened to the first two books in this series through my library and I didn't feel like waiting so I went ahead and used a credit for Kingdom of the Feared. One of the reasons I did that was because I knew no matter what happened with the story I was in a treat with having Marisa Calin as the narrator. She has such a fantastic voice and I get so engrossed in the stories she reads. In particular I think the production of the audiobooks in this series is particularly amazing with the added music and other production layers that are not in the typical audiobook.

Holiday Cheer

This was a very sweet Christmas romance story. The narrators were great! However, I don’t think this story worked well in its shortened timeframe especially because it worked more as a slow burn. The couple had one conversation at the 60% mark and suddenly they were in love and moving in together
