I tried for a while. But it got pretty boring. I feel bad. It was kind of intolerable after a few hours.

Excellent storyline, characters you can feel. Plots that don’t rely on repetitive blind luck, OP abilities or the enemy, always seeming to do the exact wrong thing. A LITRPG that doesn’t excessively embellish stats to try and engage the audience.. but wait for it, a LITRPG book that feels complete on its own. Don’t get me wrong, if it’s as well done. I would love to see book 2 come across my feed.

I wasn’t expecting such a good listen. Hopefully this storyline and plot progresses in the next book. This story is so much more than just stats and levels.

Clever, entertaining and very well put together.

Chess is a character that very likable, smart and easy to follow.
This is one of the best books I have read in quite a while. Simply focused on crafting I wasn’t sure if I would like it. But it just goes to prove that a well written book does not need to be filled with battles, stat tables and overpowered characters.
I will add the parody with the Lord of the shadows, “Aleren King”. Was amazingly hilarious.

Awesome book. I am giving this review having received a promo code.
The story is well flushed out, the characters are easy to relate to and like, the narration is better than average, but not my favorite.
Overall the book left me wanting a sequel to listen to! I do recommend!

It’s not often I listen to a book that is exceptionally well written, well narrated has a story/plot line that goes beyond typical leveling and stack tables. This is one. A gem among the rough. Much looking forward to the the next in the series.

What a great Book!
I was not sure what to expect from a new writer. But the narration and characters drew me in immediately. It’s so refreshing to hear a book That is not just leveling/stat sheets/loot. Such an original plot an character progression. I can’t wait to listen to the next book!
