I listened to this book in one sitting. It had just the right amount of angst and tenderness. The hero was amazing...add a child and a puppy during the holidays and it is a magic read. The narrator did an excellent job. I will definitely listen to more of her narrations.

I absolutely loved how Thandie Newton brought my favorite story to life. She did a great job voicing all of the different characters and bringing emotion to the forefront of the story. Well done!!

I have been waiting for this book ever since the characters were introduced. The physician heroine was wonderful, definitely drawing me to this story. As always, Mary Jane Wells did a fantastic job narrating.

Please note that I received the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my opinion of the book.

This was an enjoyable book for me. I didn't quite connect with the heroine as much as in previous books. However, I liked her most and her interactions with the hero. From the beginning there was a spark between the two as well as some nice lightheartedness. Although they had difficulty expressing their feelings verbally, their actions spoke loudly and clearly.

I also quite liked that the author is delving a bit more into the time travel aspect of the series with a few new characters. Traci's sister was an integral part of the story, leading into the next book quite nicely. I look forward to reading the next one as well.

As always, Mary Jane Wells did a fantastic job with the narration of this book. Her Scottish accents sounded quite authentic and she was able to different between a number of male characters. This is something that some narrators struggle with.

Overall, an enjoyable listen!

Please note that I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book.

I loved this book! First, let me say that it ticked a lot of book "catnip" boxes for me. Time travel...check. Medieval British Isles...check. A strong, but not alpha-hole hero...check!

Unlike many time travel romances from previous decades, the hero was not an uber-powerful jerk. I really liked that Robert was strong, and felt like he was from the time period, but still struggled with the unethical behavior of many of the Anglo-Normans in Wales. I also appreciated the fact that he was bi-cultural and had to sort out how to deal with this conflict.

I also liked the heroine quite a bit. In the beginning I was a bit skeptical that she would grow on me, but she did. After time traveling she faces many travails, but these seemed authentic and we're not disturbing or triggering to me.

The chemistry between the two main characters was wonderful. It was a bit of a slow burn in the beginning, but it heated up towards the middle. Their love scenes were both tender and hot.

Mary Jane Wells did a fantastic job with this one! Her American accents were not my favorite, but I completely forgive her because her French and Welsh accents were superb (to my ears). Her voice has a very soothing and lyrical quality and I always enjoy listening to her.

Please note, I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

I do not lightly reward five stars to a book, but in this case it was deserved. The tone was light-hearted, but still substantive. There was no major angst here, and that was exactly what I wanted right now.

The heroine was introduced first, so the beginning reads very much like chick lit. However, she soon met the hero and the development of the relationship was nicely paced. I also quite liked that the hero was appropriately "Old Fashioned" in his opinions, but still sensitive and enlightened enough for the modern reader. He really was sweet. The love scenes were extremely well written. Overall, the story was fantastic and I can't wait for the next one.

The narration was also excellent! Mary Jane Wells is truly very talented. She can voice young and old characters with a variety of accents. Her voice is also very soothing and "positive".

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

The narration of this book was tough for me. The narrator at time sounded like an announcer and the voicing didn't change enough during different scenes to reflect what was happening in the plot.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The setting was interesting. Ultimately it was part science fiction with some historical flavor. I wish this had been more clear at the start of the novel.

Would you be willing to try another one of James Killavey’s performances?

Unfortunately not.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I felt for the heroine and definitely found that she deserved her HEA.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I definitely wanted to listen to this in one setting, but real life came calling.
