I ate this book up. It kept me guessing, I love that the character is aware of her differences, despite lacking deep empathy due to her disorder, she still knows right from wrong. to be honest this book has made me question myself more than ever. enjoy!!! it's quite the ride

FINISHED IN ONE DAY. Both narrators were phenomenal😍

There wasn't a single thing I did not like about this book, it was so well written, and the characters managed to feel real, like youre right there with them. well done for a shorter book. my only complaint is that it was not longer!! only because I wanted this story to keep going. I wanted to k iw more of joshes back story. I care about these characters now.

joe arden brings this character to life like I've never heard a narrator do before, absolutely incredible, I mean hands down I can not even think of listening audibooks the same again. this duet is life. this duet is 100 per ent perfection

both author and narrator were meant for each other. these books never fail to wrench these strong emotions out of me. it feels real, raw, and completely complex. we are flawed beings by nature, which she so effortlessly depicts through beautifully poeticly and straight forward writing style. I want more of this world after every re-read.

this book expansion on the characters, the world, the lore, I want more of their story. Am I unbelievably amazed. i am utterly in love with this broken ruthless kindom, with all its hidden emotions, the raw feelings it brings forth, the reality of how the grief is dealt with. life, love, and death, all the grittiness that come with lose and perfectly written for the love to be believable. the written manages to show the internal struggle of having conflicting feelings. people can feel many emotions that should not simultaneously exist. bravo Carrigan you wove a compelling addictive world.

this was an incredible, unexpected expansion. it was amazing to to hear vales side of it all. how he came to love a human women. I am in love with this world.
A sequel series would be so so greatly appreciated! or a a prequel, it doesn't matter I just need more.

AMAZING! I admit I was weary but GOOSE BUMPS!

For starters, everyone saying the narrator sounds "gross" because of either A.) having a cold or, B.) Maybe she has ALLERGIES??. EITHER WAY YOU ARE ALL RUDE. many of us have heard rebecca narrate and no one can say she's not an amazing narrator. Though by all means if anyone thinks they can do better please try. Now the content! This book had me hooked. I laughed, I cried, I felt so many different emotions at once it was a dollar coastwr of a ride and a damn good one. There is exactly ONE scene ,and ONE scene ONLY that I felt should have ended quicker than it did. That being said I'm not the writer now do I know how these characters should and should not react. I trust the creative process. Do I think this book is for everyone? Probably not. I do hope it reaches more and more people though, this was the book I didn't know I needed. I absolutely loved the way this book not so subtly poked fun at it's self through the MP. This ending... its one of the best endings I have heard in a long long time. I actually did not see it coming. Not so patiently waiting for the second!

I JUST NEED MORE OF THIS WORLD!

I absolutely LOVED this book. I absolutely love this narrator. it was my first time listening to her and I was enraptured by her husky voice, it was the perfect for her character, her ability to differentriate the different characters without having to explain who is speaking is astounding. I always knew which character was speaking. I would love if fryda wolff would narrate more fantast books. I would also LOVE to get a sequel to this stand a lone. I just want to know so much more. I feel this could have been an amazing series. I do hope she returns to this world in one day, and I do hope fryda wolff could narrate.

my only complaint is that I want to hear more of their story I love this Duo they're a beautiful couple with struggles that can be metaphorically related to the struggles of the LGBT community this is worth every penny please give these books a read
