Unabridged! Yay!

Too many glitches in the recording.

I've listened to this audio recording twice now, and the glitches are still extremely annoying. There are empty-air spaces as long as 10 seconds, which disrupt the flow of the story. There are scratches and fizzles that are short, but extremely startling. The worst one is in Chapter 5, three quarters of the way through the chapter - the sound of a video game! It lasts long enough to recognize the noise, then goes back to the story. Otherwise this review would be all five-stars.

Well worth the time

Getting to hear these stories in the voice of the man who made the character come alive on TV was a real pleasure. I especially appreciated the chance to hear him do Brother Cadfael’s Penance since that book was never translated to the screen. Still, I wish he’d read all the books in the series. That would have been priceless.
