I really liked this episode, it is incredibly well written and less depressing than other episodes on this chanel. Especially since the crimes describes almost only involve destruction of property. Loved it.

This is the fourth book in the serie. You can read it as a standalone though starting with the first book in the serie is better.
The world building is great, the characters have depth and aren't stereotypical. The romance was good a little less steamy than some of her other books. The the steamy scenes are not gratuitous.
It is the story of a smart gentle and sunny woman and a big teddy bear of a man.
Can't wait for the next book.

Great romance about love after trauma

I really liked this book. The characters are depth, there is no drama for drama sake. Emma the female lead can be a bit frustrating at times but it makes sense with her back story.

Recommend for those who like realistic characters and tales of rebuilding one's live after traumatic events.

This is an okay book. And if you like book reinforcijg stereotypical gender roles this is the books for you.

She is petite very pretty and only focused on her studies until her brother BFF reenters her life. She had a huge crush on him and it resurfaces almost immediately.

I like strong female characters and this book really did not deliver. The girl is harassed by a man she dated once and she just let him touch her, never pushes back. She is just really laking a personality in my view.
All her male friends are bloody fighters, know a weird guy is harassing her and they never even suggest teaching her self defence. No instead one of them is always there to protect her, so she can continue to be an oblivious little mouse. And we are supposed to buy that her father and brother are super protective of her while not giving her a single took to protect herself.

He is a gym owner who growls every time another man touches her (even friendly touches). He has some moments of "vulnerability" but it is glossed over pretty quickly.

Also the female narrator was a bit flat for my taste.

And don't get me started on the artifical drama at the end when her brother finds out they are dating. He acts like a bloody idiot until his friend littery looses his shit and beats up the stalker guy. Because you see the brother wanted to know his friend was ready to beat someone up for his sister. This is despite the male main character treating the sister very sweetly and the brother seeing he makes her happy. But no, what turns him around is the fact that his friend is willing to beat the shit out of someone "for her".

And the ending is soo typical, they get engaged after her college graduation, she has no job, no interest except how she loves the guy.

I guess I just like characters with personality and depth and this book falls very short on that point.

I really like Mary Balogh for her authenticity, the books are accurate for the time period and the stories still written in a modern way that pleases modern romance readers. I also really like the complexity of the characters in this book, and the fact that the romance is slow and makes sense. All in all great read.

The heroine is so annoying, super young, spoiled, big mouthed and naive. She is supposed to be endearing but she just ends up being annoying. The hero is slightly better but the relationship is just messed up. I mean we are supposed to believe that she is free to fall in love with her captor who treatens to gag and bind her at every turn. He never sets her free, so basically this book is trying to make you cheer for love between an abduction victim and her abductor. Just very messed up. I am very disappointed because the premises where promising but the execution is just bad.

It is a sweet and funny story, a bit convoluted but very nice and wholesome.
She is a author of romance novel, she catches her fiancée with another woman on their wedding day and decides to flee on her honeymoon where she meets a sexy barman who is in fact a celebrity. Some twists and turns do seem a bit forced but all in all a very nice listen.

This is such a tropy book, the in love with best friend's brother, the non committing guy who is just waiting for the right woman, the stalker, etc, but it is handled in the worst possible way! The characters are childish, laking empathy, and plain stupid. To the point I am actually getting angry. The girl is supposed to be super scary d of her stalker to the point she drops out of school and have panic attacks but the day after her stalker find her during her vacantion with her friend and her locking herself in a room trembling she just gets out of the house ALONE to go to her therapist when she knows her stalker knows where she is! Those characters are brain dead, the sexy times are glossed over as not relevant, the rhythm is all over the place. This is just soo bad!

This is in no way a standalone you need to have follow the entire crossbreed series to enjoy it fully. As always a great book, couldn't put it down. The stories are never repetitive and Dannika Dark is always so good at being consistent.

A series I would advice to any paranormal literature fans.

Not to the level of Dannika Dark or Suzanne Wright at least for me, but it's a good story. I find the endings a bit rushed and I was not fond of the narration. The characters are compelling and the stories well woven together. I would have liked a bit more lore wise and there are some loose strings but not enough to really bother me. There is some kind of insta-love in those books or at least insta over the top attraction but there is still some build up and the love between the partners are mostly credible.
