Look how many rock stars come from elite military/govt. families (Zappa, R.E.M., Police, Henry Garfield Rollins, David Crosby, on and on). The elite kids are your entertainers. And of course we see these bores in all our loud, worthless Hollywood movies. Ike Asimov obviously based his Foundation ideas on the Tavistock Institute. The Deeply Weird Midnight Master

Finally! Very happy to see this audiobook. Ligotti is to horror what J.G. Ballard was to psychological science fiction. Narrator Padgett, also a fine weird fictioneer, does a great job bringing his friend's work to creepy life--but with all due respect, I must say that he sounds a bit like the math teacher on South Park. The erudition behind the work and the presentation is never flaunted. Ligotti is something different--with its own black perfection (like the 1979 Alien movie). Get in a horror-psychology mood and fly off into the night with these voices of the Void.

Star Trek Way Out There

Voyager may have been the most entertaining of all the classic Star Trek series. It combined the best of TOS's philosophy, the movies' tension and action, the colorful hopefulness of TNG, and the bravery of a crew trapped in loneliness and uncharted hostilities. Picardo was the voice of the show, so play this audiobook and relive the thrills of the the first Trek series to deal, right on the surface, with fear and tragedy.

Racism Lecture Doesn't Ruin It

Finn John's labors of love are delightful discoveries on Audible. The erudite man is well aware that entertaining pulp fiction can most certainly be art and a fascinating time capsule for we explorers of culture. John brings up the subject of racism, but quite logically; there is no call to 'cancel' anyone. (Burroughs wasn't a racist.) Enjoy, take this rocket ride into our fun American dreams.

Impeccable English in Interviews, Etc. by Horror Legend

Clive gave us the elegant, absolutely horrific Hellraiser Cenobites, and the unbeatable masterpieces The Books of Blood. Over the years he's released sweeping epics and bizarre but heartfelt stories loved by some and hated by others (Coldheart Canyon, Mr. B. Gone). When he speaks he makes art. If you love his writing and speaking, you'll get a very big dose of it all in this audiobook.
