This book started out slow, but got more interesting the more you listened to it. The courage and determination of these women is very good. it shows you that as long as you work together, you can get through even the most impossible situations.

I loved the story and narration. The bad thing was that a few chapters were repeated. I wasn't sure if I got the whole story or not.

Historia
When the Dionne Quintuplets were born on May 28, 1934, weighing a grand total of just over 13 pounds, no one expected them to live so much as an hour. Overnight, Yvonne, Annette, Cécile, Émilie, and Marie Dionne mesmerized the globe, defying medical history with every breath they took. In an effort to protect them from hucksters and showmen, the Ontario government took custody of the five identical babies, sequestering them in a private, custom-built hospital across the road from their family - and, in a stunning act of hypocrisy, proceeded to exploit them for the next nine years.

I was so excited a book was about the Dionne quints. Ever since seeing a movie about them as kids, the quints had amazed me whenever I read or heard anything about them. The story and narrator was excellent. I recommend this book to anyone.

I had this book in my library for a long time and forgot about it. I finally started it and I loved it. It started out maybe a bit boring, but about an hour into i couldn't stop listening to the book. It brought sadness, fear and happiness throughout the reading. I felt like I was seeing all if it in person.

This book was real sweet. I loved the mystery and suspense of this story. The author was good and kept me not wanting to put this book down, but her lack of having a diffenent accent of english and than australian wasnt no difference at all. At times i did not know exactly what place they were in. Overall i did not enjoy as much as i thought.

Historia
Maude Julien's parents were fanatics who believed it was their sacred duty to turn her into the ultimate survivor - raising her in isolation and subjecting her to endless drills designed to "eliminate weakness." She endured a life without heat, hot water, adequate food, friendship, or any kind of affectionate treatment. But Maude's parents could not rule her inner life. Befriending the animals on the lonely estate as well as the characters in the novels she read in secret, young Maude nurtured in herself the compassion and love that her parents forbid as weak.
