As always, good thought begets more good thinking. Lenox always asks good questions and makes good points.

You don't have to agree with something or someone in order to benefit from what they have to say. If what they say inspires you to think about the topic and draws out a fresh perspective and brings to mind new questions then it's worth hearing what they have to say. In all of John Lenox's books and talks, I always benefit. This book makes good points and asks good questions. The only thing I wish was different about this book isn't really about this book. It's just the nature of all good books. It inspired good thoughts about the subject and subjects that intersect with the topic of the book. Thinking leads to questions that I wish I could ask the author. That's the only problem I have. I don't have access to Lenox in order to satisfy the curiosity stirred up.

Not only is the reading clear, but the content is clear as well. To top it off, the chapters are listed with title and content. No more bookmarking chapters in the notes so you can return to a particular content. This is the only audible book to have provided it. Thank you!

Francis Chan is what I would imagine would be the result of merging Paul and John. John is so full of a love for Christ and His Church. Paul is also full of love but with a zeal for the lost that drives him to give up everything. But Paul knows the danger of pride is standing there like a black hole waiting to swallow up all love. Paul's answer is found first in recognizing who God is and from where God had called him. With that knowledge there is no room for pride.

Add these together and you get Francis Chan, the closest thing to an apostle that I have ever seen. If we could imitate him as he imitates Christ we would be the Church we were meant to be.

First, the voice is a solid choice. I have an audio book that I also have a print version. I love the book but the voice annoys me. This voice is pleasing to hear.

That aside, this book is rich in doctrine and gives an astounding apologetic of scripture and our faith. I wish I had found this book sooner, but it is nice finding it late and then finding that my own studies have led me to correct doctrine. I suggest this book for use in church groups. This is the first audible book I have ever suggested and will continue to suggest it to others.
