Kayfabe: Stories You're Not Supposed to Hear From a Pro Wrestling Production Company Owner is great insight into the business end of the Pro Wrestling Shoot genre. Sean keeps the reader engaged by mixing stories of dealing with promoters, talents, and booking deals with that of the trials and tribulations of putting good faith and cash into the hands of some of the most despicable performers in the wrestling business. This is a business book, and fans of the wrestling business (and of Kayfabe Commentaries) should get a good sense of what it's takes to create, produce, and deliver (and not deliver) on some of the best shoot style interviews the wrestling business (outside of the WWE) has to offer. This was a wonderful read.

As a big fan of Kayfabe Commentaries (KC), I dove into this book hoping for inside/backstage stories about the many different wrestling stars Sean has had on his KC shoot interviews. However, this book is a peek into what it took to not only build Sean's "business of blood," (KC), but "The Business of Kayfabe: Turning Wrestlers' Secrets into a Million Dollars" also uses its example and other fabricated business examples to give sound advice to potential new business start ups. Sean's example of the fisherman's business was particularly well written and easy to understand even if a reader doesn't own a business or have a business background. Favorite Quote: "In all the above cases we're talking about lifestyle-based businesses, heavily linked to the passions of their consumers. Think about your Business of Blood--when things are good, you make your customers feel even better. When it all goes to shit, you're the onr place to which they can still turn for enjoyment. That's a nice place to be in the world."

I surprisingly enjoyed this book. While it's filled with struggles of the famous twins, it's an example that people don't have to let pain, heartbreak, and trauma decide whether someone, specifically women lead strong, passionate, and successful lives whether it's inside or outside the wrestling ring.

Killer Triggers is a book that reads and sounds like Kenda's show Homicide Hunter, and it's a fitting partner to his first book. The reader gets another glimpse into like as a cop on the streets of Colorado Springs. I enjoy Lt. Kenda's delivery the most because it mirrors his show's tone and sets a pace that viewers of the show are familiar with.

Even though most wrestling fans of any age know the end of the story, Tim Hornbaker does a great job given the readers excellent detail into the atmosphere of the territories in the pre-cable television pro wrestling landscape. This is a must-have book for fans. I enjoyed it greatly.

Mr. Postl does a great job at making the reader feel what it's like being an underdog in life and in the professional wrestling business. From being treated like a charity case in the eyes of family to making it to the big stage of World Wrestling Entertainment, readers get an inside look at life through Mr. Postl's words, descriptions, and interactions with WWE superstars. The "Short Stories" were especially entertaining because they bring a sense of humanity to Dylan that might otherwise be overshadowed by the "former WWE Superstar" Hornswoggle.

The "behind the scenes" information was very telling as well. I dare say that fans of WWE have never really thought about when they saw Hornswoggle at shows that the Dylan spent hours upon hours under the ring and sometimes was under the ring before they even entered the building. As a fan, reading that was MIND BLOWING, and it was just the kind of information I thought I might find in this title.

I enjoyed "Life is Short..." because it shows how Dylan wrestled with consistently being overlooked for matches, angles, or even taped segments once he was signed, and it's a testament how difficult it is to be utilized consistently once a performer has made it to the "big time." The last key takeaway from the book is the importance of strong friendships that turned into brotherhoods. Mr. Postl shows that despite being let go from WWE, the brotherhood he created with fellow superstar Curt Hawkins, and others led to a successful "life after WWE" where he continues to entertain fans from all walks of life on the independents.

"Life is Short and So am I" was an entertaining roller coaster ride, and I would highly recommend it.

Slobberknocker: My Life in Wrestling was a great adventure for the hardcore pro-wrestling fan in me. It paints a wonderful behind-the- scenes picture of the greatest pro-wrestling announcer there as ever been for the reader/listener. The book details good ol' J.R.'s up bringing, career, family life, and struggles both in and out of the wrestling business, and the reader/listener should come away from this book with a better appreciation of the man behind the voice of so much of 80s-90s pro wrestling. The iconic voice of Jim Ross narrates the entire book with the exception of the afterward pinned by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and the acknowledgements. The only downside to this entire production is that there are many places throughout the book where Jim either doesn't pronounce words that are in the printed version of his book or he pronounces words that are no where on the printed page in place of words that are. (That is the only reason I gave the performance 4 stars instead of 5.) Regardless of this, Slobberknocker: My Life in Wrestling is such a great story that it is (in my opinion) #3 of all time best pro-wrestling autobiographies, and it is #1 best pro wrestling autobiographies to listen to on Audible.

This book was excellent in that it seemed like a continuation of the Investigative Discovery show Homicide Hunter.

Kenda’s verbal delivery is just like the show, and his delivery makes this book an easy read even though I found that there were a few discrepancies in what is on the page and what is heard.

Allan Corduner's voice was best suited for this story. His delivery of Death (the narrator) was wonderful because the reader can get a sense of the struggle Death has doing the job he's been given. Markus Zusak's words were brought to life because Mr. Corduner pays careful attention with each word and gives each character a unique voice where the slightest twinge of his vocals carries with it a new distinction of the people within this heart-breaking adventure.
