Excellent Ending!!! But they're pretty stupid.

Other than skeevy Mateo the author only failed bythe way the main characters were so slow witted. The case for portraying the Elders as evil was ridiculous. And how they could the survivors they found owed them anything showed these wolf people had limited emotional and intellectual capabilities. Even the best ofthem act like idiot brutes. BUT, the story is so goid you overlook the weaknesses.

Love the Story Hate Sleezy Mateo

The story is getting really good. Big secrets being revealed. All of the characters are likable except, I can't help hoping Mateo meets a tragedy. He's just so creepy. But I'll bet I'm in the minority on this issue. The Alpha Queen is pretty unreasonable in her reaction to Emory. His biggest sin is he's not a strong wolf. So I guess it's a world where only physical strength is valued.

This Story is Filled with Sickness

I can't get over how sick and depraved the characters in this story are. A few get better by the end, but there's a lot to get through to get to the point it's a good story. And that's only because a few of the characters are really good. Problems include men drugging and raping women, and torturing women because they might be a spy and threatening to impregnate and lock them up so they can raise the baby alone and have the woman available to rape at will for the rest of her life. And that's the good guy. Family trying to kill each other, and Alphas that lock up their sister and threaten to give them to men who will rape and beat them into submission. Virgin sacrifice, cannibalism, sacrificing unborn babies and locking them in a permanent fetus status to live off their life force. And more torture. Much more torture. It's a world where men prey on women and women have no ability to fight them. I kept wondering how there could be redemption from all of the things that unfolded throughout the story. But, it did redeem itself (the story) through a few characters that were very good.

Great Characters - Bad Premise

This should have been a great story. The Characters were great, and it had an excellent set up. But the premise was just plain stupid. There is no way company management would act the way they did, nor would the police. And people who are stalked.. well, let's just say what happened wouldn't have ever happened. And why wouldn't either character talk about what was happening?

Best Story In Weeks!!

I listen to audio books non-stop, which creates long periods in which I only hear ok stories, at best. Every once in a while I find an excellent story like this one. It was unique, the characters are likable and there is little bs overly-alpha male bs. The main alpha male in this book is not a child in a man's body. He's not so emotionally stunted that he acts with the emotional weakness of a toddler. And he is not hung up on made up drama tied to weird, misguided, attempts to be some caricature of a leader. Also, tge female lead character is awesome. She's a brave, caring person with realistic desires. She wants to ne loved, and she wants to be a mother. And it's these 2 things she thinks she'll never have.

This Story Could Have Been So Much Better

I thought this was going to be a good story, but it really fell short in terms of depth. The female lead is likable, but the male characters are awkward. And the male voices are bad to the point of being distracting. Too stiff, emotionless and a little too melodic. The biggest disappointment was the lack of substance to the story. It was pretty much, She meets a guy, falls for him, has sex with him. She meets another man, falls for him, and has sex with him and the other guy. Then she adds another and repeat. I prefer more story and less sex, but some might prefer it as is. The pig is an interesting pet.

Good, Moderately Complex, Story

This story had some good twists and a few surprises not in other stories. I've listened to a lot of similar stories so I don't see much in the way of surprises. I would have given it a 4.5 instead of 5, but as that is not an option I chose 5 because it's better than a 4.

Good Story - The Main Male Character is a Tool

It's a good start to what could be a pretty good series. I purchased the second book, which I only do if the characters are likeable, the story is interesting and it is at least a little unpredictable. This had all three. My concerns relate to the main male character. He is entitled, shallow and weak. There's little to like about him. Hopefully, this will change in book's 2 and 3. The female lead is very likable and strong.

Another FMC Who Accepts Abuse from MMC

This is a great srory accept the female main character willing to take abuse from a man who is supposed to love her. And that man is weak in every way except physically.

Ok, Not What I Expected, But It's A Good Story

Not sure what I expected, but this wasn't it. But I'd hate to give poor review due to my preferences. It seemed well written, had good character development and good narration. Had it been what I'd expected it might have received a 4 rating across all categories.
