Historia
When five colleagues are forced to go on a corporate retreat in the wilderness, they reluctantly pick up their backpacks and start walking down the muddy path. But one of the women doesn’t come out of the woods. And each of her companions tells a slightly different story about what happened. Federal Police Agent Aaron Falk has a keen interest in the whereabouts of the missing hiker. In an investigation that takes him deep into isolated forest, Falk discovers secrets lurking in the mountains, and a tangled web of personal and professional friendship, suspicion, and betrayal among the hikers.

A bit slow moving
Revisado: 03-16-25
The story was okay but it seemed to truly drag for the first 3/4 of the book. Good narration but it’s a man and there are 7 women that are a big part of the story. I might have picked a woman.

A great way to think about your life
Revisado: 02-14-25
I enjoyed this book a lot, only recently familiar with Mel Robbins. It seeks to help you "reframe" how you perceive your relationship to the other people in your life. Don't be fooled; there is a second part to "Let them," which is "Let me." So if you are in an abusive relationship, her advice is decidedly NOT to let them treat you poorly. That's where the Let me part comes in. She has chapters for young people looking for love, parents, employees and other demographic groups. Her daughter is a great part of this book and deserves huge kudos for help making it what it is. Way to go, Sawyer Robbins.

I really enjoyed this title. It moved easily between 2 time periods and the mystery was well built.

Good plot & characters; ultra gross and gory
Revisado: 12-28-24
I can handle a good bit of gore in a book. But this was way over the top. I really liked the characters a lot but there was so much gore, grossness and horror that it really took away from the story. I like many other Peter Cline books more, such as The Fold. This book reminded me of the one book I’d give anything to unread, The Girl With All The Gifts.

Has NO ending!! Frustrating listen.
Revisado: 11-24-24
So far I am truly enjoying the Busybodies collection. Fun little mysteries that have a beginning, middle and end. EXCEPT for this one. It has a beginning, middle and then the story just stops. Trust me. This one will frustrate you.

Historia
My husband is dead. I attended his funeral. I watched his casket be lowered six feet into the ground. (Actually, it may have been only five feet, but that still seems like more than enough.) And then we ate an array of finger sandwiches and deviled eggs and miniature beef wellingtons that cost more than my first car. My point is, Grant is gone. And so are all his many, many deep, dark secrets which I never really ever bothered to ask him about. He is never coming back.

A few smiles but no LOLs
Revisado: 11-19-24
The story is pretty convoluted and strange. Not really that much satire just some cultural "winks" that are mildly humorous. The story goes a long way to get to a single punchline which is never that funny. Voice talent is excellent.
