Historia
In Recollections of My Nonexistence, Rebecca Solnit describes her formation as a writer and as a feminist in 1980s San Francisco, in an atmosphere of gender violence on the street and throughout society and the exclusion of women from cultural arenas. She tells of being poor, hopeful, and adrift in the city that became her great teacher, and of the small apartment that, when she was 19, became the home in which she transformed herself. She explores the forces that liberated her as a person and as a writer.

A liberating, beautiful collection of stories from a life in word and art, spoken as a landscape that spans time and the American West.

Historia
As a botanist and professor of plant ecology, Robin Wall Kimmerer has spent a career learning how to ask questions of nature using the tools of science. As a Potawatomi woman, she learned from elders, family, and history that the Potawatomi, as well as a majority of other cultures indigenous to this land, consider plants and animals to be our oldest teachers.

Gorgeous
Revisado: 10-16-19
This is a beautiful accumulation of scientific and cultural story, as an audio book it is shared in a most honest and poignant voice, the way stories of this sort ought be shared. It is ecologically and culturally informative and inspiring and I recommend Braiding Sweetgrass to all lovers of nature, storytelling, history, culture, ...life.
