Holiday Smiles All Around!

I sometimes have a hard time with holiday-themed books. For me, they have to strike the right balance between having enough of the holiday feeling to justify the classification, but at the same time not being so heavy-handed that it feels like the holiday itself takes over the story. This book strikes that balance so well. We have a fantastic story with great characters,a sprinkling of holiday magic, and hilarious moments all wrapped into one. The narrator did such a great job and i enjoyed the performance of the audio book as well.

Love this story!

This is a great finale to the Pine Falls Series! I loved how we get updates on the couples from the other books in the series as we get to fall in love with a Brant and Kinsley. If you love JP's books, you'll love listening to this one!

Whitney is my favorite!

This may be one of my favorite Peel books. The last few chapters of this book just had me smiling and happy the whole time. I hate when an entire book is dedicated to the difficulties of a couple and then it all wraps up in about three paragraphs and you don't really get to revel in the happiness. This book is not like that! It such has a satisfying ending. Enough gushing about the ending. The rest of the book is pretty phenomenal too. Whitney may be my favorite character of all. I know she's not the focus of the book, but she's just the best (spoiler alert: We get to see lots of her in the other books in the series too and she does not disappoint!). Jonah and Ariana are so great. He is so patient with her and she is so spunky and amazing. I love this story!

Heartbreaking and beautiful!

Oh boy! This book is heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. I love this story so much. I don't know how Peel constantly writes stories that lead me on a journey of such a wide range of emotions. Dani just tugs at your heartstrings from day one and I can't help but root for her and Brock while still aching for all they are experiencing. I love that Peel is not afraid to tackle tough subjects, like PTSD, in her characters. Despite the crazy journey, you can always expect a happy ending from Peel, and this book is no exception. It also gets me super pumped for the next one in the series!

G&B forever!

I loved this story as a book and I loved revisiting it again as an audio book. Even though I’d read it, it’s always amazing how different things stand out in the audio version. Gracie and Brooks are just as fantastic as ever. I love the chemistry and how Grace’s sassy personality contrasts with Brooks more broody one. Another fantastic story from Peel!

I love this book!

This book is Jennifer Peel at her best. The Sidelined Wife is one of her best books to date (and since I also really love The Secretive Wife I am hoping that comes out on audio book soon too!) In true Peel fashion the characters are amazing, so relatable and real, but still swoony and admirable. Melissa Moran does a great job narrating the book and it really brought it to life! Fantastic all around!

Great Characters Come Alive

What does Nancy Peterson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Nancy does a great job reading this book! My favorite character she does is Kenadie's mama, I love that sassy southern accent! She gives great personality to the characters and her inflections are fantastic. I have to admit that I wish she read just a touch faster, but that's because the story is so engaging I'm always dying to get to the end!

Any additional comments?

As with all of Jennifer Peel's books I think her characters are so fantastic. Kenadie has a tender heart that she's doing her best to protect. She strikes a tough balance between vulnerability and strength. Jason is so kind, the perfect gentleman, much to Kenadie's consternation. Zander, mercy, what a character. Sometimes you want to join Kenadie and smack that guy, or hug him for being the soft mushy center that his facade hides.

Sassy mothers, hilarious adventures, and all the feelings are packed into this book where Kenadie figures out whether opening her heart up again is worth the risk!
