Historia
Lou is reeling from a triple whammy of shocks that have left her loveless, jobless and almost homeless. Staying for a night with an old friend in the Cotswold village of Foxwell, she lends a helping hand to a spectacularly ungrateful older man with a reputation in the village for being a 'character'. When Edgar makes a suggestion that would solve two out of three of Lou's problems in one fell swoop, it's hard to resist. Especially as the return to the village of the very attractive Remy—not that he's even noticed Lou!—makes it an unusually appealing place to live.

Loved this book
Revisado: 10-23-23
Enjoyed listening to this book Jill has an amazing way of developing characters and by the end they become your friends. I only wish she would put epilogues in her books so we could enjoy a year or two years later to see where the characters are in their relationships.

Wonderful story teller
Revisado: 06-23-23
I just found Kristan Higgins and I love her books. I enjoy the character development, the relationships that heal and those that don’t. The various facets of love and how the story unfolds. The stories are closer to real life than most romance novels and though at times you will cry, you will also laugh and feel as though you could be friends with these characters.

Revisado: 10-24-22
A little bit of everything. Mystery, sci-Fi, romance, friendship and more. Even learn a few things about nature. If you enjoy a good story that you “can’t put down or turn off”, read/listen to this book! Is there a sequel?

Historia
Kailyn Flowers was always calm, rational, and controlled—until she ended up sprawled all over Daxton Hughes, the former actor she totally crushed on as a teenager. Then she did the unthinkable: She became a mortifying fangirl in five seconds flat, which may or may not have included professing her undying love. And oddly, he didn't run away. In fact, their meet cute led to a friendship she never saw coming. Of course, she never saw his betrayal coming, either....

Historia
If you find yourself talking to writer Jayne Dandy, keep the conversation on comic books and Star Wars - best not to mention men, dating, or S-E-X. Her crippling fear of intimacy has made relationships a big no-no, but hiding behind her laptop isn’t going to get her lightsaber lit. When her therapist recommends that she write erotica as a form of exposure therapy, Jayne is hesitant. But when she is unexpectedly downsized at work, she adopts a pseudonym and secretly publishes her sexy stories to make ends meet.

Well written and narrated! Enjoyed the character development and story as it unfolded. Well worth the listen and sent to my sister because she is a huge Star Wars fan. I enjoyed it even without being a huge fan of all things Star Wars!

I loved this book! I just returned from a week and half from Venice and I recognized so many places and names. I wish I had read this before my trip! The love story during a time of such unrest was beautiful and the anticipation of what discoveries would be uncovered in the modern day narratives was wonderful. I want more! It didn’t want the story to end.

Power is changing. Private corner offices and management by decree are out, as is unquestioned trust in the government and media. These former pillars of traditional power have been replaced by networks of informed citizens who collectively wield more power over their personal lives, employers, and worlds than ever before. So how do you navigate this new landscape and come out on top? Adam Grant, Wharton organizational psychologist, went to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the epicenter of power, and sat down with thought leaders from around the world, to find out.

Enjoyed the insights and interviews
Revisado: 02-06-19
I read the reviews (not exactly glowing) and although informative from their perspective, I am actually enjoying this Audible Original very much. When I listen to a book like this as I am driving my long commute, I want to be entertained and to learn along the way is a plus. I am not looking for a story when listening to this kind of book, I am looking for insights-some nugget of someone else's experience that i can use in my work life or family life to better an activity, a training or overall approach to a situation. This book is doing that for me!
If you manage, develop or educate others, this book has some great insights into improving your overall approach. Not in a specific step by step approach (do this get this result), more in "food for thought" that makes you think about your current tactics and what might work to improve overall results when motivating yourself and others.

Historia
With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits. Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses.
