This series is great. I loved the FMC. She was classy yet not typical type of lady of the time period. Each of the men are strong men, different from each other, but still strong and offer something different to the relationship. I loved the men’s relationship with each other as well as their relationship to the FMC. This was exactly what I was looking for.

Loved the story Struggled with the Narrator

The story was great. I have to say it wasn’t the time traveling romance storyline most time traveling stories have. The ending is a HEA and if you can get past the narrator’s horrible American accent you’ll like this book a lot.

Felt like this was meant for Teen Readers

Maybe it was the narrator, maybe it was the writing but as a whole I felt like this was meant for teen readers. The book lacked the depth or the “it” factor that made me want to listen to it. The alpha felt like a newbie, the introduction to new mythical characters was just thrown into the story, the rejection of the fated mate was lacking that heart wrenching component, all in all I just couldn’t finish it. I wish I could get my credit back for this book.

Just keeps getting better and better

Wow…. So much happened in this book and of course the end was a cliffhanger. I’m dreading how long until the next book will be available on Audible, I hate waiting.

If you enjoyed the first two books you’ll LOVE this book.

Exactly what I was looking for

Do you ever want a book that is more than just romance? If you’re looking for one with a great story line but also has steamy, hot, erotic scenes, then this is the book for you. The relation ship between the female main character, and the other three is great. Different with each as well as a great love between two of the other two characters (MM) in this story. I was so bummed when the book was over.

Whiplashed and Unsure

Okay…. Where to begin???? When the book ended the peak had yet to come. The entire book the hatred for the vampires was never ending, the defining moments for each sister had yet to happen, and the male antagonists were still being developed. I felt like I was in a constant stage of waiting. Setting the stage and establishing the characters is key, I get that, but when the book ends and you’re left with a feeling of “what the heck…”, and not in a good way, you just feel unsatisfied. I kind of want to get the next book to figure out what the heck is going on, but I also don’t want to waste my time with it.
Some reviews stated that this was the best twisted-sister series so far, and I just don’t understand that.
I’m thoroughly unsure about this series. To me the first book of a series should make you crave more. You should love the first book. I can honestly say I DO NOT feel that way about this book.

Narrator Made It Impossible To Finish

I just couldn’t finish listening… the narrator read so slow that even increasing the speed didn’t help. He drags everything out. It was hard to really get a feel for each character because of the way he read the story. I wasn’t sure if what was occurring g was good or bad. The narration was just so bad. Regretfully I can’t return this title and I wasted a credit on it.

Historical Romance at its Best

It has been a long time since I’ve listened to a historical romance that was a perfect blend of both history and of romance. Romance comes across more but the events, people, and places are woven perfectly throughout this story. I loved it and didn’t want it to end.

All Sugar… You’ll Get a Cavity

I’m so disappointed in the reviews that made this book sound like it was worth the credit… it wasn’t. With a title like Playboy, you would expect more conflict with the male character as he turns from playboy to boyfriend. Well that isn’t the case. The female love interest is supposed to be a hard catch but she isn’t. The conflict that always exists in romance books between the two love interest is so minor. Overall I was very disappointed. There’s no tension, no anticipation, it’s all mushy and anticlimactic.

Another Hit!!!

I hate it when J.A.’s books come to an end, but hate even more when the next book in the series isn’t available yet. So good. Whether you’ve listened to the Blood & Ash series and the Flesh & Fire series, or you’ve never listened to a Jennifer Armentrout book before, you’ll love this book.

This book definitely has the feel of her other series but I liked how this book makes reference to earth when there were cities and sky scrappers and seven continent (today’s world), bringing this fantasy story back to earth, instead of a fantasy place.

There were so many things I loved about this book. The story (as stated) was one I didn’t want to stop listening too, the narrator was great, the characters were well developed, and the author gives you just enough without being predictable.

I give this a big 👍🏻👍🏻.
