Great worldbuilding, good storytelling
Revisado: 03-22-24
This sequal is a good continuation to the first book, with great worldbuilding and fleshed out characters. However, its characters' progression and arcs are a bit frustrating. The heroes are thrown here from side to side without taking fate to their own hands. All their efforts are constantly ruined by suspiciously clever antagonists who are always one step ahead. It seems the characters are simply being carried away by events and by their enemies without coming out from the otherside better - they are simply carried over to a new events they have no control over. I found that quite annoying. Hopefully in the next book we can see some progress in their arc.

Historia
The Ninth Rain has fallen. The Jure'lia are awake. Nothing can be the same again. Tormalin the Oathless and the fell-witch Noon have their work cut out rallying the first war-beasts to be born in Ebora for three centuries. But these are not the great winged warriors of old. Hatched too soon and with no memory of their past incarnations, these onetime defenders of Sarn can barely stop bickering, let alone face an ancient enemy who grow stronger each day....

Good story, excellent narration
Revisado: 06-30-23
An engaging story and world. The narration by Davis is one of the best I heard - excellent voice acting and wonderful storytelling. At times the voice is too long and the contrast in volume is abit problematic, but his storytelling talent is amazing.

Historia
Dina DeMille may run the nicest Bed and Breakfast in Red Deer, Texas, but she caters to a very particular kind of guest...the kind that no one on Earth is supposed to know about. Guests like a former intergalactic tyrant with an impressive bounty on her head, the Lord Marshal of a powerful vampire clan, and a displaced-and-superhot werewolf; so don't stand too close, or you may be collateral damage.

Engaging with amazing narration
Revisado: 10-18-21
the continuation of the story keeps you engaged and invested. The characters are interesting enough and likeable and the whole cat together is turning more and more like a group of course friends that complement each other in character and temperament. I cannot review this without mentioning the amazing performance of Raudman. To my opinion she is one of the best narrators I have heard so far. the variety of characters she is able to bring to life along with her artistic ability to deliver emotions is truly remarkable and loggers the story even more.

Historia
Dina DeMille isn't your typical bed and breakfast owner. Her inn defies laws of physics, her dog is secretly a monster, and the only permanent guest of the inn is a former galactic tyrant with a price on her head. The inn needs guests to thrive and guests have been scarce, so when an arbitrator shows up at Dina's door and asks her to host a peace summit between three warring species, she jumps on the chance.

It is not too much sophisticated or complex, but entertaining nonetheless. Raudman performed is amazing and she brings to life the story with all its characters with great skill

Historia
According to mythology, mankind used to live in 'The Tranquiline Halls': heaven. But then the Voidbringers assaulted and captured heaven, casting out God and men. Men took root on Roshar, the world of storms, but the Voidbringers followed. The Almighty gave men powerful suits of armor and mystical weapons, the Shardblades. Led by 10 angelic Heralds and 10 orders of knights known as Radiants, mankind finally won (or so the legends say).

Story is good, Reading annoying at times
Revisado: 07-03-20
The story is engaging and interesting enough to make you want to understand the world and characters.
My problem was with Michael Kramer's reading. When he wasn't acting a character, his intonation is monotonous, which could drive me crazy at times. However, when he was acting the character he is rather good.
