Poor presentation on JK Rowling

Was torturous listening to this presentation!
Author should be embarrassed as should be the presenter.

I was leery of the sequel to RP1, but was pleasantly surprised both in story and in Will Wheaton's reprisal as narrator.

Historia
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days. When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

Historia
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

The True American Classic
Revisado: 04-20-22
This is my 5th time reading or listening to this great work.
One of the best works of fiction ever written. Could be even written more appropriate to today's society. While I don't agree with all of Ms. Rand's concepts, her appraisal of the time she wrote has proven to survive the test of time and is so much more appropriate to today. There are so many lessons to be learned from this great work, unfortunately just the opposite is being taught around the world., from preschool to graduate school. Hopefully, some day we'll learn.

Historia
Historians have long told the story of America’s birth as the triumph of Jefferson’s democratic ideals over the aristocratic intentions of Hamilton. Chernow presents an entirely different man, whose legendary ambitions were motivated not merely by self-interest but by passionate patriotism and a stubborn will to build the foundations of American prosperity and power.

Great story and well performed
Revisado: 08-07-20
Loved the story, Ron Chernow does an excellent job chronicling the life of this founding father. It is one of the best biographies I've ever read and I've read many. Scott Brick does a great job in bringing it to life. I have been a long time fan of his work in audiobooks. Long considered to be a relative of mine, it makes me want to investigate that claim further. A great read for anyone interested in the true history of our nation.

Historia
When NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt, Jr., retired from professional stock car racing in 2017, he walked away from his career as a healthy man. But for years, he had worried that the worsening effects of multiple racing-related concussions would end not only his time on the track but his ability to live a full and happy life. Torn between a race-at-all-costs culture and the fear that something was terribly wrong, Earnhardt tried to pretend everything was fine, but the private notes about his escalating symptoms that he kept on his phone reveal a vicious cycle.

My PCS story..
Revisado: 05-31-20
Having suffered with post concussion syndrome for the past 20 yrs, I can tell you Dale paints a picture so vivid about PCS that I had to turn the audiobook while I was driving. The descriptions he gave were so similar to what I have experienced. I too had gone to UPMC 15 yrs ago. Unfortunately, the doctor I saw at that time wasn't as helpful. We tried various medications and I had still had to find a quiet, dark place to retire to in those days. Being a Pitt graduate, I was happy to see how therapy there has evolved. Thanks to Dale's book, I am going to try UPMC again. Hopefully, this time around I'll get the help I still desperately need.
