Sublime. Wonderful. Superb.

Thew combination of Bryson's wit and Robert's talent.

Bryson and Roberts in combination are perfect! As sad as I am to have read the last of the Bryson/Roberts works, I am so pleased I can hear them again and again when I need reminding that the world is a grand and wonderful place!

I have revisited this performance multiple times, the writing and narration reaches the height of Michelangelo’s works.

What did you love best about Michael Palin: Sahara?

Michael Palin's narration and writing!

What did you like best about this story?

Everything.

Any additional comments?

All of Michael Palin's books are like good friends, the kind that picks you up when you are down. Michael Palin's narrative is simply superb and you feel like he is talking to you personally over a good glass of wine at the start of a long bank holiday :-)

If you could sum up The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich in three words, what would they be?

Detailed, well-written, relevant.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Grover Gardner?

Grover Gardner narrates well, and his voice is clear and compelling. Unfortunately, his pronounciation of the German names and places was enough to significantly distract me so I found myself waiting for the next German name (of which there are many) and shouting the correct pronounciation to the distress of fellow travellers. This was enough to make me stop and give up after a few hours... in fairness, though, Grover Gardner IS a good narrator and I will be actively looking for other books narrated by him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, the pronounciation of the German names and places made me cry ;-)

Any additional comments?

If you are not a German native speaker, I strongly recommend this audiobook as well as Grover Gardner's narration.
