Liked it overall (spoiler alert!!!)

I enjoyed this book, but it was definitely my least favorite of the 4 books in this series. I did not like the ending. (spoiler alert!!!!) I thought Miriam's rescue scene was half thought out and didn't make a lot of sense. she knew War was healing. there were several different options she could have done that wouldn't have led to her death. It just felt very poorly written. I understand that the end needed her death, but I HATED Miriam at that point because of the foolish decision to go "save" him. I would have preferred her get killed by one of the Phobos riders or something. The brash decision to try to get War out of the pit was just... stupid. Other than that, I enjoyed this book. the audio sounds a bit distant and scratchy, but otherwise was fine.

I love the story and the main narrator, but I can't stand listening to the second narrator that voices Thanatos. I often turned off the audio book during his POV and just read it instead.
