The narrator did a great job! The “ throat “ sounds or breath sounds fit in the story…. 🙄. She’s running.. she breathed harder
The book was AMAZING!!!!! Loved it as much as I did the first! Cannot wait for book 3! The story had much more world building for everyone who complained that it lacked in the first.( and some of yall still complaining). I give the book, the story, and narration 5 stars! Held be in a chokehold the entire time!

To hear her story of survival and her still not going to the police to potentially stop this from happening to anyone else was the biggest let down for me. The story grips you from the start. .. I’m glad she got out. But that man is still free ..smh.

This book came highly recommended but I just couldn’t get Into it. Wayyyyyyyyyyy too much inner monologue.. I did not enjoy being inside Kiki’s head and the story fell so flat to me. I know plenty who have enjoyed it. I recommend listening to a sample first to see if it’s for you.

Story was boring, rushed and lacked a climax in the plot. Church and faith is rammed down your throat till the very end. Would have been a better story if she slowed it down and you got to experience some of the ride with the characters.. not : hi. Ok I’m sick ok I’m dead. Ok bye.
