Interesting stories and well read by native speakers. By repeating the material twice, the second with translation, you can be challenged as much as you want. This is a great resource for upper beginner and even intermediate learners.

I wanted to laugh and cry at the ups and downs of his life and find a veteran to thank and support. Lots of ministories throughout the book and great awareness of the hero’s of our nation. Thanks for writing the book. His narration is terrific with some great timing and wit thrown in. Highly recommended.

Historia
Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding. It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans - except Katniss.

Terrific narration of a Powerful story
Revisado: 09-26-20
The ending is kind of melancholy but that is understandable. What a compelling story embodied in a dynamic narration. I enjoyed it very much!

Historia
In the summer of 1937, Amelia Earhart is the most famous woman in the world - a record-breaking pilot, a best-selling author, and a modern woman shattering the glass ceiling in the early days of aviation. And then she vanishes. In Tampa, Florida, 15-year-old Lizzie Friedlander spends her afternoons glued to her father’s radio, tapping into the enormity of a world she longs to travel. Lizzie can hardly believe her ears when she picks up a radio signal from a faraway source that sets her heart racing: “Amelia Earhart calling SOS!”

Watch out for foul language
Revisado: 02-26-20
A well-crafted work of embellished history worthy of knowing until 3/4 of the way through the dialogue deteriorates into a foul mouthed barrage whose severity is not required to demonstrate the intensity of feeling. The transition was shocking. Glad my family was not listening!

Historia
Why do only a few people get to say "I love my job?" It seems unfair that finding fulfillment at work is like winning a lottery; that only a few lucky ones get to feel valued by their organizations, to feel like they belong. Imagine a world where almost everyone wakes up inspired to go to work, feels trusted and valued during the day, then returns home feeling fulfilled. This is not a crazy, idealized notion. Today, in many successful organizations, great leaders are creating environments in which people naturally work together to do remarkable things.

Stepped on my toes!
Revisado: 03-03-15
If you could sum up Leaders Eat Last in three words, what would they be?
Question your assumptions
What other book might you compare Leaders Eat Last to and why?
Not sure as I have never been so conflicted on a book before. He successfully challenges, but also trivializes the complex environment of leadership. Perhaps it is not his intent to be balanced...
Have you listened to any of Simon Sinek’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I saw him on Leadercast where he touched on some of this material. However, the book goes in to much greater depth along with penetrating examples.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. Take it in small doses, but listen to it all.
Any additional comments?
As a result I do not agree with all of his opinions, but leadership is about feedback. I welcomed the challenge of this book.

Historia
Gene Kranz was present at the creation of America's manned space program and was a key player in it for three decades. As a flight director in NASA's Mission Control, Kranz witnessed firsthand the making of history. He participated in the space program from the early days of the Mercury program to the last Apollo mission, and beyond. He endured the disastrous first years when rockets blew up and the United States seemed to fall further behind the Soviet Union in the space race.

Inspiring Leadership and Technical Problem Solving
Revisado: 12-23-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
For any scientist or engineer, this book takes you to the front lines of test pilots and the inherent danger s of spaceflight...from the view of the brainiacs in mission control who are the necessary and incredibly important partners of the astronauts in those tiny capsules.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Of course, Gene Kranz -- demonstrating authentic leadership in the midst of adversity.
What does Danny Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I've read the book. The reading is exceptionally well done and I can put Kranz's face on the voice of the narrator.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It makes me wish we were still pushing for human space flight.
Any additional comments?
This is a great book for aficionados of engineering, science, operations, spaceflight, and pushing technology. But, it is best a book of leadership and companionship required to push the boundaries of human endeavor.

A Tale of Two Cities is one of Charles Dickens's most exciting novels. Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, it tells the story of a family threatened by the terrible events of the past. Engaging, sad, compelling story
Revisado: 12-18-12
If you could sum up A Tale of Two Cities in three words, what would they be?
Resurrection, Beauty, and Vengeance
Which character – as performed by Simon Vance – was your favorite?
Mr. Lorry, the impeccable businessman, and steady companion through it all
Any additional comments?
I had never read the book before, so the audiobook took me on a wonderful journey. The language is highly descriptive yet lyrical leaving me sometimes in a daze while other times with my heart in earnest. I've always known the French Revolution was a momentary departure from reality by a strong people, but this book puts both the aristocratic arrogance and the unrestrained vengeance of the populace in perspective.

Mixing a bit of seventeenth-century French history with a great deal of invention, Alexandre Dumas tells the tale of young D'Artagnan and his musketeer comrades, Porthos, Athos, and Aramis. Together they fight to foil the schemes of the brilliant, dangerous Cardinal Richelieu, who pretends to support the king while plotting to advance his own power. Bursting with swirling swordplay, swooning romance, and unforgettable figures.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Three Musketeers?
Often the banter between the companions had me laughing out loud...even while exercising. That is fun!
What about John Lee’s performance did you like?
He captures multiple voices for all the main characters consistently through the story.
