I really enjoyed this omnibus of 83+ hours listening pleasure. The narration is very good. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to wait for the series to be released with time in between. I want to find out what happens when it is a series. Sometimes if it takes a long time for the next book in a series to be published, I forget some of the story and lose interest. When I can purchase an omnibus on sale, and I like the story, it is a double win for me!

Although I wouldn't want to live in a museum of Egyptian artifacts. Oh my, there are some great lines in this book and Penny comes to life! There are twists that will have you trying to figure out what is really going on. And you see a glimpse of the new Colonel's human side.
Beware gem seekers - they could be cursed...

Oh my, how I love this series. It isn't your crazy dystopian, military space opera, but it is a wonderful listen. I do love Ishmael, but I have to say I think Penny is really becoming my favorite character. She is delightful, witty, brave (like crazy brave) and funny! "Spy Girl" power!

This series was recommended to me by my stepson, and I am so very glad I decided to give it a listen. I do love the British wit, and I think Penny is an absolute delight! My what a good sci-fi story to listen to with a fabulous British accent, and the details of places in England. I can't stop the series now!

My stepson told me about this series....

My stepson is a night owl, and loves to read. He doesn't have as much time when he is working, so he devours reading when visiting during his vacation time. He told me about this series and said I would really like it. "It is like a cross between X-files, Men in Black, sprinkled with British humor". So, I looked it up in Audible, and decided to try the first book. This is absolutely wonderful for an "over-the-top sci-fi crazy person" like me. I love it! (I DO love a good British accent.) And this is just the beginning...
By the way, he finished reading (he doesn't do audio-books) the entire series within a week, and said you really need to keep going. So I am!

This was a real surprise of a book.

I decided to give this book a try. I have listened to other books/series by Shawn Inmon, and really enjoyed them, so I decided to try this. At first, I wasn't quite sure about the story, but I was hooked pretty early on. Inmon certainly develops the atmosphere with the characters placed in it really well. It all fit together and flowed. Excellent book and now I need to get the next one in the series.

I simply could not stop this series. I had to purchase more credits to keep going, and for me, it was well worth it. There are times when I am on the edge of my seat, and there are times I am laughing so hard I have tears rolling down my cheeks. Wonderful series!
