I'm certainly not an expert on DID but from a reader/listener's standpoint, it was perfect. I was truly invested in these men and wanted to see them happy together more than anything.

The narration was OUTSTANDING. I never had to ask myself who was talking because every identity and person had their own voice and inflection.

I've listened to this book at least 5 times at this point. While the basic outline is identical to so many others, there's just something very different about this one. I absolutely LOVE Rory and Yamane and wish I could find something even close to this magic.

Greg Boudreaux always does an amazing job narrating and brings the characters to life, especially with Rory's accent.

TW: there is a scene where someone is touched while they are sleeping. We all know that this is not something that should ever happen but I have 0 doubts that had that person been awake there would be no denying their consent.

Really enjoyed the characters and story. Love that the turmoil (which was quite tame) was outside of their relationship and it just made them stronger together. While I don't necessarily believe it deserves 5 ⭐️'s, I would say it's a solid 4.5.

Will probably listen again when I'm in a book slump.

Decent Story, Terrible Narrator

Story was pretty cute, really liked both characters and feel they had good chemistry. However, I have no idea how this narrator still finds jobs. I checked out his other projects and he has more than 200 books on Audible. Every one of the reviews I read say that the narration is horrible. I understand having an off day or not finding enough connection to the story to do it justice but to have dozens (probably hundreds - I didn't count) of listeners say the same thing over and over...I don't get it. Over the 1,000 or so books I've listened to over the last couple of years, I can count on one hand the number of books that I DNF solely based on the narrator. Only 2 spring to mind in fact, and this is one of them.

I would highly recommend skipping the narration on this one and going straight to the ebook.

I've listened to this book several times; it's one of my go-tos when I'm at a loss of what to listen to. it's low-ish angst, great narrator, and decent story. I would say the story is 4.5 stars but will definitely round up. Greg Boudreaux is fantastic as always.

Great Dark Ride - 4.5 ⭐️

A new-to-me author, I am so glad I took a chance on this trilogy. I love Delilah and her spirit; Adam frustrated me a time or two - but in a GOOD way. An I'm-invested-in-these-characters frustration instead of just being annoyed by their actions.

Narration was fantastic. Teddy Hamilton is my #1 narrator, and even though Muffy Newtown annoys me a little by the way she elongates her words, she still does a great job. If you're into dark romance and have very few triggers, I highly recommend.

The final chapter of the The Cloister trilogy. It is a rough ride, just as dark and depraved as the previous two volumes. All narrators were fantastic; Teddy Hamilton and JF Harding are two of my must-buy narrators so having them together is always a treat. If you've gotten to this point in the series and are still intrigued, you will not be disappointed by the conclusion.

So first, this is usually so not my jam. However, I kept seeing recommendations for it on the groups I follow and it was on sale so I thought - why not? Soooo worth it. You definitely have to start with the first book, Krie Captivity or else you'll be lost, but I'm so very glad I took the chance. The world-building is outstanding, you empathize with all the characters, and Alec and Zercy's chemistry is rediculos.

Yes, it's extremely long - which I would normally complain about - but I was actually extremely disappointed when their journey ended. My one MAJOR complaint? WHAT HAPPENS?!?!?

SPOILER ALERT!
I want to know about the other guys? What happened with Bailey and his merman? What about Noah and Gesh? And WHAT ABOUT THE IMPENDING WAR???? And the baby?? I. Need. More!

Wasn't really sure how I would feel about this book but ended up really enjoying it. Storyline was good, the characters are adorably sassy, not much angst (a HUGE plus for me), and it ended in a very HEA. Also, Joel Leslie is an absolute master of accents.
Will I listen to it again? Probably not, but maybe. Either way, really glad I dove into Oz and Silas's world.

Always love Shane East and Lucy Rivers, and they did a great job, but didn't love the story. A big part of that is because it hits one of my major triggers......

*spoiler alert*

They are not monogamous.

I know this shouldn't bother me, but if I'm reading a love story between two people, and only two people, I don’t want to read about anyone else entering the situation. It's a HUGE turnoff for me.
