I enjoyed this for the most part. It did run long. I feel like this could be 2 books rather than 3. I liked the FMC. She was strong, resilient, and funny. I feel like she was a good embodiment of a 22 year old woman trying to figure it out. The MMC was pretty arrogant and it got a bit over the top, but he had a number of redeeming qualities. Too many in my opinion.

My gripes: the ending was too much. I don’t like when just about everyone gets a redemption arc. Some people should stay bad, be jerks, or not likable. Everyone doesn’t get a happy ending. It got too sappy for me by the end.

I liked the start of the story. We get a smart FMC that knows her value and can show these men a thing or two and it devolved into nothing but f scenes. I like smut as much as the next person, but there was no plot. Of course it only got interesting in the last chapter, but I’m over it. You reduce a strong FMC to nothing but a vessel with no use for her mind? 3-4 guys were fine. When the multiple partners are brothers, it’s not my favorite, but it’s fiction. Shane was a complete dbag. If you wanted to make that things antagonistic, then there are better ways. This was disappointing and I can’t believe there are 4 more books.

The premise was fun. I thought we were going to get an FMC that was dark, nasty, and dislikable. Her story was the good start for a villain. I also thought the men were going to be more dark. What we got was really decent characters that had tragic backstories and wanted to right wrongs. That would have been fine if there had been any angst, or struggle. This was an emotional erotica. 16 hours of it. Though every event tried to up the last, it became white noise. If there was an intent to shock or make the reader feel uncomfortable, there was too much of it to do so. 80% was them banging. I have never been so bored with so much explicit content.

Thor Thom had to do some heavy lifting so I give him credit for trying. 7 characters is too many. His Irish accent got a little wonky at times so it gave a needed laugh.

I needed something a little different and this gave it to me. We had a FMC that was both strong and haunted. She loves her family and is willing to anything for them. I appreciated that she was determined and smart. She seemed to weigh her decisions. I really liked her.

The MMC was arrogant, charming, and likable. So many times the MMCs are possessive that IRL they would be horrific.

Smut was fun, the world was exciting and terrible. I truly enjoyed this.

This may sound harsh, but this was so close to being really great.
I think Cinderella did a number on us as women, however we have actually seen this story play out with super stars. Long time bachelors end up with seemingly “normal, but gorgeous women”. I liked our FMC, she was tough and smart. Towards the end she cried a little too much, but overall pretty relatable. Her reactions made sense to everything she was thrown into.

I liked the MMC. He felt genuine in his reactions and responses.

Where I had issues, the former finance thing, there should have been more concern and discussion about his response to her. Quite frankly the MMC should have also taken issue with his reactions, they were quite troublesome.
There was an interesting backstory that should have been fleshed out more. More details about what really went down.
The spicy scenes, I wanted more. They seem to have so much chemistry. It didn’t have to be more events, but better described.
The twist was really good.
The female narrator really went left on some of the words, and they were relatively common words. That was a bit bothersome

If homeboy had been honest from the get-go, things would have been so much easier.
I struggled with this one as my logical side says this isn’t safe, sane, and consensual. They kept talking about consent, but him manipulating her, and backing her into the proverbial corner made me angry.
I would love for one of these type books where the FMC called them on their bluff and didn’t allow them to be strong armed into something. They always make the FMCs so good and never put themselves first. The FMC did have a few tricks up her sleeve that I enjoyed.
That said, I did like the story. It was smart of the author to continue the storyline throughout. I’ll probably hate read the next one so I know what happens.

I really tried with this one. The premise was interesting. The background of the church, pandemic, retelling of an old classic. It had all the pieces, but I just couldn’t. It seemed like this was a rough draft. This needed editing and better transitions. I like smut, it’s why I read, but this was… weird. It was too much in a boring way. Make it interesting or get back to actual details of the story.

As for the performance, the female narrator had some strange was of pronouncing words. I couldn’t place where she was from, but it was weird.

This had tropes that I usually roll my eyes at, but this was fun and spicy. I appreciated the way her angst felt real. It was a great mix of internalized expectations, finding your path vulnerability and strength. I usually hate the virgin thing, but this felt well setup. I’m also glad that there wasn’t a full resolution. So good!

I really enjoyed this. This was a different take on the vampire/werewolf world. Misery was fantastic. She was practical, smart, self aware, and made smart decisions. I really empathized with her. We finally got a FMC that had a great relationship with a woman and didn’t make me want to strangle her. She was so well written and I even cried for her.
The MMC was strong, selfless, Alpha, and still really likable. Somehow this was the perfect mix of having really strong characters, villains, plot, and substance. It wasn’t dark, but still had enough angst to make it interesting. I def could have done with more spice, sooner, but there was a good payoff.

I didn’t love the female narrator’s voice, but I was able to get used to it. This was a great one.
