Robert Greenberg Strikes Again!
Revisado: 12-19-17
Having listened to other courses by Dr. Greenberg, I looked forward to this one due to the material it encompasses. As always, I'm impressed with his knowledge, but I really love the way he presents the material. He makes the material accessible and a lot of fun, which makes it much easier for me to learn.
I highly recommend any of Dr. Greenberg's courses.

Historia
The works of J.R.R. Tolkien are quite possibly the most widely read pieces of literature written in the 20th century. But as Professor Michael Drout illuminates in this engaging course of lectures, Tolkien's writings are built upon a centuries-old literary tradition that developed in Europe and is quite uniquely Western in its outlook and style. Drout explores how that tradition still resonates with us to this day, even if many Modernist critics would argue otherwise. He begins the course with the allegory of a tower....

Something Different and a Lot of Fun
Revisado: 07-28-17
I love courses on literature, but have never taken one on Tolkien, despite reading and re-reading LOTR over the last 50 years.
I really enjoyed the instructor, his presentation, and most of all the content. I learned a lot and had fun doing it

Historia
It was never supposed to be this close. And of course she was supposed to win. How Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump is the tragic story of a sure thing gone off the rails. For every Comey revelation or hindsight acknowledgment about the electorate, no explanation of defeat can begin with anything other than the core problem of Hillary's campaign - the candidate herself.

Excellent Reporting of the 2016 Clinton Campaign
Revisado: 05-04-17
Well written and researched coverage of the 2016 Clinton run for president and how she lost an election that should have been easily won. The Audible audiobook is as good as the printed version, with Kimberly Farr's narration making it even better.

Historia
Clearly, the Greeks are a source of much that we esteem in our own culture: democracy, philosophy, tragedy, epic and lyric poetry, history-writing, our aesthetic sensibilities, ideals of athletic competition, and more. But what is it about Hellenic culture that has made generations of influential scholars and writers view it as the essential starting point for understanding the art and reflection that define the West?

Great Overview
Revisado: 07-13-16
One of the best of the Great Courses I have listened to from Audible. The instructor was interesting to listen and follow and the course was easy to follow.
