Historia
In Being Mortal, best-selling author Atul Gawande tackles the hardest challenge of his profession: how medicine can not only improve life but also the process of its ending. Medicine has triumphed in modern times, transforming birth, injury, and infectious disease from harrowing to manageable. But in the inevitable condition of aging and death, the goals of medicine seem too frequently to run counter to the interest of the human spirit.

Everyone Alive Who Will Die Should Read !
Revisado: 06-25-20
Fabulous Book on the realities of dying and late life medical and physical care from very personal experiences. Learned more about where I don't want to end up as I grow older, than any other information. Illuminating about what makes for a quality last quarter of life!

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

The Protracted Novel!
Revisado: 06-25-20
Trying so hard to build suspense, there was too much unnecessary information provided about every movement, every gesture, of both lead characters which added nothing to the story. Author just kept the reader going on and on and on with irrelevant filler. Very mediocre rendering of a somewhat clever story lost in the muddle!
