An amazing believable world.

I found the performance and the story very relatable and enjoyable. It is A fitting finale to an epic Saga, brought to life by Kate Reading's Stellar narration. At times Lady Trent seems to be a very real person with much to share and teach. The world of Mary Brennan's dragons is so like ours and yet so wonderful, that one wistfully longs to belong there. I'm reminded that even in this real world there are still wonders to be found for the adventurous mind. Upon finishing this book, all the more do I wish I could go on an expedition to some forgotten corner of Earth for what might be discovered. This is what true fantasy should do: Inspire us to make our lives an adventure.

Sophisticated, yet seductive experience.

Ever dark and seductive, the story seems to twist and turn like a frayed knot, yet soon resolves into a brilliant tapestry, a missing piece of a far grander puzzle. James Lucino has written a marvelous tie-in which connects the lore of novels, movies, and videogames, while telling the story of Darth Plagueis and his role in the Grand Plan which the Sith have concocted over a millennium. Lucino also connects Jedi and Sith lore of previous works by many authors. While the subtle machinations of Plagueis and Sidious grow tiresome at times, every piece is important, and the drone of political subterfuge is broken by moments of ferocious action and facsinating internal dialogue. What's more: Narrator Daniel Davis brings the story to life with an animated dryness that befits the character and tone of the work. The music and sound effects are well chosen and lend the perfect feel to the production, bringing Lucino's work to life very cinimaticly. Very enjoyable overall. The glimpse into the savage sophistication of the Sith is worth the long segments of shady business and political posturing. I felt a tad closer to the Dark Side throughout the reading.
